Definitely one of your best videos. Really enjoyed seeing you having a great time, with such a nice crew and a really nice aircraft. Makes me wanna fly with Virgin in their upperclass, but this may get pretty expensive :/
I'd love to support you, but I'd only be able to do so by using your TV channel, and it doesn't look like I can get a yearly subscription. Any ideas? It would be so much easier if an annual subscription could be offered. I'd really love to listen to this entire flight here, too. Did you hear the difference in the audio with the new GoPro7? I tried to listen to another one of your older videos, and after an hour, I had to take off the headphones and just leave it running from the speakers, because I could no longer tolerate the compressed audio. My ears rang and hissed for 6 hours after just listening to it for one hour. It brought me back to when I was a kid, and I had a pair of a.m. radio headphones, and my doctor said I had to restrict my use of them to no more than an hour a day, because I'd developed so much earwax. I thought he was kidding me, but now I really do know he wasn't. I need my hearing like you need your sight. I also found out that it wasn't just me. When sound is severely compressed to travel up into the cocleo-vestibular region where the inner ear is, it can compress the fluid in the inner ear where the vestibular nerve is, and according to a chiropractor I worked with some years back, this is why my ears hissed and rang so loudly, even with the volume at 80 decibels. It didn't get much better at 70 several days later. So now we know.

11p per mile, that is the kind of information missed during most reviews! That is excellent value for money! Including a meal and being Pampered the whole time. And the pilot radios ahead for you to find out what plane it was! Incredible. Richard should watch and be happy with this.
I ve flown several times with Virgin and every time it has been a pleasure. My wife is disabled and the crew are always so attentive to her , we always leave a good review , and name staff who go over and above to help, i would fly anytime with them
I was on a jet 2 A330 flying back home to Manchester from Lanzarote. we flew through the night and it turned my birthday. the crew gave me a birthday cake, asked the captain where we were flying over and let me go into the cockpit as everyone was exiting the aircraft.
If it's like any other premium/business lounge, they'll change it weekly. So unless you're going to LHR T3 really soon you probably can't do much with it :)
That lounge though... It has to be the best in Heathrow and a spa treatment included in your ticket just the icing on the cake. BA could learn a few things.
It does look a nice lounge. Never used it, or flown on Virgin for that matter. Wonder how it compares to the QR lounge in T4. That one isn't huge but it's a really nice place to sit, with excellent food.
Lounge?? I have ever only been able to fly in the cheap seats (although when I flew Air France from Atlanta to Paris, it was pretty damn comfortable and the food and drink was great), and the closest I got to being in a Lounge was when I walked by them on my way to a seat near the Gate lol. Oh well, if not for us slugs sitting behind the posh the Airlines would go bust. There are far more of us than them on a plane lol. When I had to fly back to the UK....many years ago now (17 yrs)....from the US, I had hoped my wife and her dad would have at least put me in Business Class lol. That Flight (on an American Carrier) was horrible, and I was uncomfortable the entire 9 hours.
I've flown on business on Emirates and Virgin and people often tell me Emirates is so much better but I think Virgin definitely is. With my experience on Virgin never once have I had an issue and they try there hardest to give you the best experience possible
The best part of that for me was the terrific lady who escorted you through the lounge- I’ve travelled in those seats before and absolutely HATE them the same for NZ as well - the service etc looked great
Love the look of the clubhouse and everything about Virgin's onboard service but I really do hate the configuration with a passion. Looking forward to their next generation of seats!
I've done the upper class from Heathrow to New York. That lounge is incredible. And I quite like the ability to not sit next to anyone at all! Great flight and great crew. For anyone who is a non-meat eater -- the lounge has Beyond Burgers... :) (I know you don't care but it takes all kinds!)
I love Virgin Atlantic Upper Class. I flew them a couple of months ago and the service was superb! They were so accommodating that they even let me visit the cockpit and chat with the pilot, copilot and first officer before leaving LAX. So cool that they found out for you, the flight info for the plane heading to Oakland.

This is one of the reasons you are pretty much the only flight reviewer I'm actually subscribed to (I've said this a few times) and by my reckoning you're a good few hundred thousand subscribers short tbh. FYI they feed and water you well in standard on virgin too. For a 7 hour flight MAN to JFK we had pre-meal snack and drink, a meal (which as far as standard class "plane food" goes, was pretty good), periodic drinks and afternoon tea before landing. On the way back it was a night flight so we got dinner, then it was lights out and sleep time (as much sleep as you can get on an old 747) and then in the morning a "solid" breakfast. Again, drinks were offered adequately often and there was a snack too.
@@SS-bk2zb actually I disagree. I used to be subscribed to him but I'm not anymore. His fans asked him to fly Spirit (I think it was) because apparently it was terrible. @@FlyfarHP I did the same with VT. Funny story is when I was booking the tickets Euston to birmingham, I looked at one journey. Standard £33 advance, first class £25. I also had a 40% off on 1st class advance tickets thanks to virgin red beta app. So effectively standard was £33 vs first class at £15 per person. Felt like virgin paid me to go first class than standard, and I took advantage of the freebies at both euston and birmingham. Between myself and my friend, we reckon that we got our money's worth in snacks and drinks in the lounges and onboard.
Great flight! The best experience I’ve ever had was a night flight from New Zealand to Tahiti back in 2000. I asked to visit the cockpit in flight and the captain generously allowed myself and my father to sit up there for about 30 minutes. The sky was incredible and the flight crew were eager to chat about the 767. Unfortunately probably a thing of the past after 2001.
Back in 2007 Virgin Atlantic saved my high school Europe trip after our original airline cancelled our flight. They were only 3/4 full that day and comped our tickets and we got to London only a half hour later than we would have on our original flight. Us kids were spread out far and wide across the economy cabin but they took really good care of us. It's been 12 years since that flight and it's still one I think about a lot when traveling. Definitely one of the best, even in economy. I can't wait to be able to fly Virgin Atlantic again one day.
I once was on a continental flight back in like 2008 from Zurich to Philadelphia, and there was a huge military cargo plane just a thousand feet below over Ireland, the F/A also went to the flight deck for infos.
Outstanding review and content! I appreciate your views attention to detail. Danny has been very proactive and self-aware of your needs, I love to see those extra touches when the crew enhances the inflight experience. The ground staff at Virgin Lounge was superb. Lovely Product, thank you for your hard work, very enjoyable assessment. Best GG
That was truly enjoyable! Everything on the flight was First Class. I really liked the lounge & its many luxuries, incl shower, massages, lovely food & drink selection. Then the finest seating & ability to Sleep! Also the privacy & restful environment incredible! I can hardly wait to take a flight, myself!
Loved my upper class Virgin Atlantic flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles. My premium economy flight from LAX to Heathrow was quite good, too. The 787 is a great aircraft with a great airline.
Virgin are my favourite. Even in economy the service is fab. They gave me that mug for free because I liked it so much. The flightcrew heard I was an avgeek from the cabin crew and invited me up during a delay for a whole hour, showing me everything and really showing an interest and getting to know me. They really are fantastic and go well beyond other airlines for friendly but not stuck up service.
I’ve flown upper class a few times, normally from Manchester but we went from Heathrow to Vegas at Christmas and the upper class lounge is outstanding, it was also quite nice to get a bit of air on the terrace and look at the planes. We did book the spa straight away and they only had a few appointments left, so this is a must to book as soon as you arrive. The food was great, as you would expect. The bar was also empty on the plane when I sat there and had plenty of room with my laptop and had a nice chat with a stewardess.
Great job with this video. Fantastic! It would cost almost $8,000 for an upper class one way seat on this plane from LAX to LHR (departing 6/1). And over $12,000 for a round trip ticket. Yikes! You got a great deal originating in Malta. Keep up the good work.
Back in 1991 I had a fantastic flight from, LHR to JHB on South African Airways drinks and snacks on hand throughout the flight, in those days you could go up to the flight deck and spent a fascinating hour and half there sometimes alone with either the pilot or co pilot - I would say a once in a lifetime experience but had it on my return a month later too - A truly wonderful airline
I did like the 2 monitors, I like to see the progress of the flight & catch a movie..I like looking out the window for takeover & landing.must have been a cost saving deal.I've seen worse configurations, I've seen a layout where if you had a window seat you had to go around the aisle seat.
Flew back from Madrid Spain on a 787-9 on Air Canada. Even in economy class it was spectacular. In flight entertainment is top notch on the 787, the amount of food and drinks offered was great and I hope to fly on more 787 soon. Comfy comfy aircraft to fly in.
Like many others,I cant say I was a fan of the seat configuration but apart from that the whole flight experience form London to LA looked and sounded impeccable
Noel, this is one of the best reviews I've seen on RUclips. I really like how you approached this and especially how you actually paid for this. There are deals to be had for Premium travel, if you are willing to do a bit of research. So hat's off (pardon the pun) and all the best!
Back in the day my husband travelled extensively in upper class. They used to pick him up from our house in Portsmouth and take him straight through to the Lounge . He used to like to have his Dinner in the Lounge so he could go to sleep straight away on departure. They didn’t have so many Upper Class seats in those days circa 2004/05 .
Great video, very entertaining. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. I didn't personally think it seems very upper class from the very open plan, low seating. Seemed very public and not private at all. Loved the woman behind you reacting as you commented!
Me and my wife got upgraded last year with Virgin as it was last day of our honeymoon, one of there employes sorted it for us as we our friends on Facebook and I have never met him, I would definitely recommend Virgin Atlantic to anyone
This guy defo turns up 5 hours early to the airport so he can get his money's worth 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂i love it Edit: i just got to the part where he said he was there for 5 hours 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I would arrive early if I was flying Business or first to take advantage of the lounges! I am flying business on ba next month, and will be there 3 hours before!
Thank you for your commentary - interesting and comprehensive as ever. If I ever get the chance (a lottery win!), I will definitely fly Virgin Upper Class. Good food and service, and my wife would appreciate the massage in the Upper Class lounge, and the lighting on the plane (she has similar lighting in her Mercedes).
I'm glad you enjoyed your flight. I've only flown with Virgin Atlantic once in 2010. I love the way they name their aircraft ! I flew economy from heathrow to Boston on "tubular bell" , and return on "Dita von teese " , even economy is nice, staff very professional without being stuffy xxx

I can't wait to be able to fly Virgin Atlantic again one day.
ha ha, that lady behind you as you were talking constantly looking into the camera. My entire focus went there
She looks pretty surprised at first lol
I once was on a continental flight back in like 2008 from Zurich to Philadelphia, and there was a huge military cargo plane just a thousand feet below over Ireland, the F/A also went to the flight deck for infos.
RAF, USAF or the Russians?
Nothing wrong with that, you were in good hands. Only in Spanish airspace should you worry
Continental was the best US airlines in the early 00s
Well done Danny!
We flew back from Vancouver in business class and can honestly say the lounge the service and the flight absolutely incredible well recommended it 👍🏼🥂
Thank you so much for the high quality and excellent videos I really appreciate keep up the good work and have a nice day may God bless you!
Agreed
Agreed
I love how positive you are
The staff are Great, that Lady in the Lounge was lovely.
The crew is always so friendly on virgin
I’ve only recently found your videos, but I’m loving them. Giving me the travel bug again
Best flight I’ve ever had was on the 787 with Virgin to JFK. Premium Economy class. Outstanding stuff.
Am off to book my flight after seeing your video. Thanks for the great review
Looks lovely, one day I will get oh that flight.
Herschel Is a Canadian Brand. Here in Canada, it is super popular among students because their back pack bags are so good!
I love the smoke or whatever on the wings or in the engine when they take off and land on a 787-9
Outstanding review and content!
It's very private, even with the very tall lady looking over your shoulder as you film!! Hah!
Myself and my girlfriend are doing this exact flight next week in upper, this video is just making us more excited!
Nice video Noel. Loved the views out the window towards the end, and cool capturing the Fedex 777!
Thanks Paul! It was a great flight!
That's such a strange configuration. What's the point in a window seat if your back is to the windows?
Exactly! Even the cup holder is in a really awkward spot. I’m so glad their new A350 will have a new config.
To squeeze in more seats without sacrificing comfort. Its actually genius from a business point of view
I did like the 2 monitors, I like to see the progress of the flight & catch a movie..I like looking out the window for takeover & landing.must have been a cost saving deal.I've seen worse configurations, I've seen a layout where if you had a window seat you had to go around the aisle seat.
Best review of a flight I have ever watched!
Still at it with the white wine! 😇
Flew back from Madrid Spain on a 787-9 on Air Canada. Even in economy class it was spectacular. In flight entertainment is top notch on the 787, the amount of food and drinks offered was great and I hope to fly on more 787 soon. Comfy comfy aircraft to fly in.
The 787 WING FLEX ❤️😂!!!!
The responsiveness of the IFE is brilliant, car makers should take note!
Like many others,I cant say I was a fan of the seat configuration but apart from that the whole flight experience form London to LA looked and sounded impeccable
I enjoy your videos more than I enjoy flying. Just a geeky dude (like me), doing his thing and making it interesting and cosy. Love it.
I appreciate that!
Wow his sidechicks where really lucky
Now this is the way to travel.
Great video, very entertaining. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. I didn't personally think it seems very upper class from the very open plan, low seating. Seemed very public and not private at all. Loved the woman behind you reacting as you commented!
I had an amazing flight in business class with British airways
I absolutely love your videos, Noel! So well made!
Me and my wife got upgraded last year with Virgin as it was last day of our honeymoon, one of there employes sorted it for us as we our friends on Facebook and I have never met him, I would definitely recommend Virgin Atlantic to anyone
Danny was such a nice guy, what a champion in customer service
I love Virgins upper deck, flying it very often, my dad fly the 747 for virgin
Miss flying soooo much
Virgin upper class is the best
Can’t wait to be back in one of them seats again
This guy defo turns up 5 hours early to the airport so he can get his money's worth 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂i love it
Edit: i just got to the part where he said he was there for 5 hours 😂😂😂😂😂😂
He was on a connecting flight from Malta to take advantage of the low fare.
Most people arrive early
Lol i did exactly that few weeks ago, BA first from LHR
I would arrive early if I was flying Business or first to take advantage of the lounges! I am flying business on ba next month, and will be there 3 hours before!
I would do the same lol
The staff member serving you on the plane was brilliant!
Can't wait for Virgins New Business Class on their A350
NYC Flyer Finnair A350
WiFi Password for the lounge is LOVE
That guy who was talking about the wine was so cute I stg
0:44 i love the flashing lol thank you for making these videos :D
That was amazing! I'm a nervous flyer but this honestly put my mind at rest, I'll have to check out Virgin Atlantic Upper Class in the future!
me too!
Excellent video! Always feel like I'm there when I watch these.Love watching you on the plane flights.🥰😍👌👏👏🛫✈🛩🛬
You missed the open viewing area from the upstairs section of the lounge by the pool table
Love the way you video and edit your content. A lot of information but not too much that it’s overwhelming. Gained a subscriber 👍🏽
I still miss the Virgin 747 Upper Crust (as it was called). Really
nice bar and stools and bar staff!
I flew on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Heathrow to Dulles and it was absolutely lovely. The cabin crew and food were absolutely awesome
Loved this vid, currently working my arse off to fly upper class, this has really made me want to fly like this even more!!
Get a chuckle every time you say how "private" it is while that woman behind you is constantly checking you out over the divider
