Great film very underrated. One of Tom's best IMO.
your reaction toward the end is so accurate, this movie actually makes you numb for a minute before you can sober up from the sadness
It was a lovely reaction, and it was nice to get to sorta rewatch one of my favorite films with you two. If you ever decide to do another viewing, try to pay close attention to the soundtrack - specifically the lyrics being sung. They pretty much tell you what is actually happening beneath the surface, or hint at what's really coming next. It's not something that most people (including myself) pick up on the first (or even second and third, for me) time around. On the road ahead for you both - may your sweet days be many and your bitter be few.
So glad I found your reaction. I showed this movie to my best friend tonight and wanted to see what other people thought of it. She loved it. It’s one of my favorites. The story, the acting, the emotion, it’s all great. The soundtrack is also incredible.
Not many reactions to this film on YT. Always nice to watch one when it pops up.
I saw this film when it played in theaters. I had almost completely forgotten it,but I recall it was very emotionally unsettling! Great reactions!
I saw it in theaters as well. Loved it then, love it now.
I recommend you :
- The Game (1997) David Fincher
- Black Swan (2010) Darren Aronofsky
- Fight Club (1999) David Fincher
- The Devil's Advocate (1997)
Wow! I'm genuinely amazed that you guys are reacting to this movie, very impressed. It's a fantastic film and very under the radar
Excellent reaction! I've never understood why this movie has been largely forgotten today; it's like a great movie-length episode of Black Mirror.
That was one of my favorites movies. And the end bit, having to choose to stay in a dream that torments you or move on and let go. I've had to
Sigur Ros's song at the end is amazing. :)
Love this movie, not sure why it’s underlooked a lot in Cruises movie history, glad you reacted to it!
Watch Magnolia (also has Tom Cruise in it) if you’re open to requests! Great movie

Have you guys ever watched "Jacobs Ladder"? Its a great film and a total mindf#@k! Id love to see you react to it.
I watched the original Abre los ojos (Open your eyes) last week 👀
Hello, check out a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise.
Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armand Assante. It portrays a version of the travels to the New World by the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and the effect this had on indigenous peoples.
Directed by Ridley Scott.
CRUISE (VANILLA SKY)
Not enough people are reacting to this film you should also watch Sleepers it's really good and only one other channel watched it
23:38, you saw his reflection in mirror. That's why.
Even if you have never seen the film, must of seen some of it esp the start ast hat was advertised loads with the TV trailers + other scenes like at his birthday party + when on documentaries etc over the years!
Yeah rewatching it a few more times and you will find new stuff yu didn't notice before!
You should def watch the original from the 90's: Abre los ojos (English: Open Your Eyes) with Penélope Cruz as Sofia 😀
At some point, watch the Spanish original "Abre los ojos".😢
Agreed, It is a much better movie than this one
Compare 15:22 to the original.😮
@@Jack80300 That's subjective, personally I preferred Vanilla Skies though I saw that first.
