    Mailbag question: It increasingly feels like Denver was a sleeping giant, their first 7 games of the post-season all seemed quite lethargic, like they were bored. And then the drubbing from the Wolves in game 2 finally roused the giant. How big of a step have the Nuggets taken from the first 7 games compared to the last 2? Also, Mike Malone seems like such an underrated coach. He always seems to make nearly perfect adjustments in games, and I think he is the greatest motivator right now. Still no CotY mention even.

    Aaron Gordon is kind of doing what Wiggins did for the Warriors during their last championship run. Last night the Nuggets played almost perfectly but yet if Minnesota makes two less mistakes they may have won that game. These teams are very close. It is really a battle of an unstoppable offense and an unbeatable defense. I think in the modern NBA the offense is going to win that battle given enough time to adjust. Big Time nuggets fan so I'm hoping that my theory holds true.😊

    • @OwenHooper-mv4fm
      @OwenHooper-mv4fm Месяц назад +1

      He’s significantly better than Wiggins, but agreed he’s kinda in that role. I’d liken it more to Rodman in terms of impact and longevity if not play style though. You don’t want AG shooting the three, but if they are giving it, he has to punish. Most games he’s just meant to cut and play in the dunker spot

    • @bookaufman9643
      @bookaufman9643 Месяц назад +2

      @@OwenHooper-mv4fm but like most people that play for Denver he is multi-talented and can play other roles when they need him to. You have to remember the role that he played with Orlando. Then he wasn't a great player but he was a very big wing defender with good ball handling for a guy of his size. I think people think of the dunker spot thing is kind of an insult as like that's the only thing that he can do is get EZ passes from Jokic and slam them home. He has to work to get into that spot in behind people and it's not as easy as people think plus those passes come really fast and you have to be pretty skilled just to get them and be very alert to know that they're coming.
      I think Wiggins was pretty damn great during that series against Boston and that's how I was comparing that kind of role. He hit a lot of threes and did a lot of rebounding but also took it to the basket. The guy is extremely talented but there's something wrong with his head. I don't know what's going on in his personal life but it's become pretty fucking weird. He will be a story of wasted talent for sure.

    39:32 - that's such an awesome pass. At first glance it merely looked like a decent/good pass. But Jokic's insanely quick transition from a fake shot to a flip pass with such small margin of space to get through makes it so much better than how it looks at a glance. In particular Jokic's fake shot attempt looked genuine and that period of time between the fake shot to a flip happened so fast even in slow motion.

    So much better without colin. No offense but that post game analysis between Jason and Collin was trash. It was just 15 minutes of glazing Anthony Edwards.
    So I’m very happy that Jason is doing proper analysis without Colin

    The KAT thing is simple. Due to Rudy in the paint and his own bad fundamentals he can’t get touches in low post. Therefore he driving from wing or 3 point line when he has no wiggle. In order for him to cook he needs mid range game… post fundamentals= do your work early seal your man not post your man dribbling 18 ft

      I agree but because of Minnesota’s stifling defense and the lack of Denver’s bench scoring they needed a 3 point threat to stretch the floor so they chose Justin Holiday, but Watson to me has potential to be in an all defensive team soon

    I can't overreact to any of the first four games and in no world do I see them beating MN in four straight when they haven't lost more than two straight all year long. 2-2. Both teams have beat each other all year and on the road. I truly believe ANT is the best player in the league when he's on. Joker might be the MVP, but I think ANT is the best individual player in the league and I think his playoff numbers back me up on that. If MN can find anyway to close the gap even just a tad through better defense or better offense, ANT will have a chance to win them the series. Three games of that and I like the T-wolves chances. We will see what happens.
