Love that music and gospel harmonies , but that Patty is a beautiful Babe head turning Gorgeous ,thank you God for showing us one of your best creations !
After seeing the video for many years, I am still amazed at the harmony and complexity of their vocals. Love the way all three of them blended together. I would have got confused had I been singing. We should all be more like Daniel.
I watched this in real life. With my own two eyes. It was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. Literally bumped into Ralph Stanley after the show. I’ll never forget that night.

There’s nothing sweeter than three part bluegrass harmonies. There’s nothing better than hearing Patty Loveless sing. And there’s nothing prettier than Patty Loveless’ smile.
My dad , son and I was at the Gettysburg Blue Grass festival , a few years back , we meet Ricky Skaggs and we talked to Ricky and got a autograph , we wish Patty would play thereit would be awesome.
"Oh Daniel served the living God while upon this earth he trod, he cared not for the king's decree but trusted God to set him free, oh Daniel prayed, every morning, noon and night." Thousands of years later, those are still some words to live by.
Patty Loveless is from my neck of the woods in eastern Kentucky. I love her powerful voice. Ricky Skaggs made a wise decision when he switched to bluegrass full time. That dark-haired fiddler singing harmony does great, as well. Well done, all!
For those who did not know---Patty Lovelace has now recorded two albums with songs that are more traditional/bluegrass---Mountain Soul Volumes I and II-----this song appeared on Volume I---this segment--along with Patty singing an awesome verson of "Pretty Polly" with Dr, Ralph Stanley that can be found elsewhere on RUclips--were recorded as I recall, at the original Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for a program recorded for PBS Television.
You're not going to find it in a church, my friend. Churches are commercial ventures. The fastest way to turn a 500 member church into a 50 member church is to start preaching truth from the pulpit, and the donation plate can't stand that. You can look at what happened to Jesus as proof of my point. I always say, if you start preaching the truth in church, and you refuse to shut up, the church will eventually drag you up a hill and nail you to a tree.

Fabulous song. I'm impressed at how Ricky Skaggs can play and sing with anyone and harmonize so well. You find few musicians who can both play an instrument and sing as well as him. Yet he finds a way to fit in with anyone who he's performing with.
