I’ll add this to the list! Autocad is definitely scary! There is way to many tools in the program
Carter. I rarely use RUclips routinely as a source for learning but I really enjoy your work. You’re an excellent speaker and hit on all the things I appreciate most. As a creative director who used to only draft manually I have stepped away from designing and have my team so all of our drafting but I miss it Madly. I picked up morpholio trace for doing sketch and red lines for my team and find myself longing to train on morpholio to take on more of the work or take back the projects when they go back into planting plans. Im using your channel to learn and I’m so grateful for it!
I only wish you offered a paid modular training option for morpholio trace, so I’d be more devoted to adapting to it.

With this app, can you draw the boundaries to scale and have the measurements showing such as lines and circles, etc?

Also what sizes is your ipad?
You definitely can draw to scale and then export it with a sheet size and scale afterwords. or bring in a drawing at an existing scale and then setup the ruler for the scale and then the ruler will be that scale as well as the dimensions

I would go for the largest size if you can afford it. I got the 11" and wish I got the 13" instead, sounds small but actually would be a big difference

they are both great! in my opinion procreate is much better in terms of true drawing potential whereas morpholio is awesome for it's architecture roots and being able to have things scaled and use architecture tools

Hi! I don't think it is mandatory to get one, but I do find it to be very useful and effective for me. If you have the luxury to afford it I definitely think so! The great thing about the iPad is that it can be used for lots more besides landscape architecture, which is ultimately why I chose it.

I have a 11-inch 2nd gen iPad pro, I think I got it in 2020!
I discovered Morpholio a few months ago and it has been a game changer. I have struggled with the size of iPad. I already had a mini pro because it felt easy to carry around the jobsite. Now that I am using it to sketch it feels limiting. I have a larger, older iPad but it’s not a pro, so I don’t think it works as well with Morpholio. The older pencil reacts differently. My question is, does the 11” feel cumbersome to carry around the site?
Do you have a video that specifically addresses selecting an iPad and what requirements or features are recommended?
Are there alternatives to morpholio trace for an android tablet?
Unfortunately there is no alternative for Morpholio that will give you all those tools it has, but procreate or concepts is the way to go for general drawing purposes
How do you get the client's site into the app?
You can import an image or even use the google earth feature to upload a site background
@@DesignItGreen thank you. You use a drone on the client's site to get an ariel shot? I would have thought that the resolution on Google maps is not enough to use as a site canvas?
