    Hello brother ... thank you very much ... very good project ... I have a question ... how do I do now to synchronize three servos independently in ableton? ... I try or I have not succeeded ... are all three At the same rhythm

    Nice tutorial! Can you hook up any sensor to the arduino plugg in Ableton? For example the muscle sensor of Myoware?

    • @beatlabacademy
      @beatlabacademy  7 лет назад

      You can hook up any analog or digital input/output. We're not exactly sure about that specific sensor, it might require it's own library and not the Firmata that Ableton's connection kit needs.

    Super good tutorial, one question do you use an specific servor motor? I have a mg 995 and i do exactly everything you do , but don’t work , i appreciate your help , thanks

    • @beatlabacademy
      @beatlabacademy  4 года назад

      Make sure your servo have enough power you might have to connect an external battery or power source to power the motor

    Very inspiring tutorial man !
    Once I have mapped the parameters how can I save it?
    I have to remap all the parameters every time because Ableton doesn't save it !
    Please help me, I'm stuck in this situation...

      Maybe try to save inside a Rack? Click on the device and hit CMD+G (CNTR+G on PC) and then save the entire rack

    Are you able to communicate with arduino wirelessly so you can wirelessly control your servos from across the Room?

    • @beatlabacademy
      @beatlabacademy  7 лет назад

      Yes you can. You might need another extension on top or the Arduino and program some stuff yourself or simply use a wireless MIDI controller like The guitar wing to control Ableton and the Arduino devices.

    Can you hook up multiple motors at the same time?

    • @beatlabacademy
      @beatlabacademy  7 лет назад

      Yes, but you might have to use external power like batteries. Depends on the motors.

    Hello Can you control Leds also with the connection kit, specifically RGB LEDs so you can control the color variations, pulsing & fading effects with automation?

  • @formulafoxofficial

    Can you control LEDs colored ones?

    • @theboytheycalljonny1
      @theboytheycalljonny1 7 лет назад

      Yes. same idea but you would need different code I'd imagine.

    • @benni3284
      @benni3284 7 лет назад

      Why do you need different code if the code is what links it to the amxd?

    Hi I've gotten to the portion where I've mapped macro 1 and just increase and decreasing the value via the knob.. it does absolutely nothing.. I've confirmed my wiring is correct and when I activate on pin9 the servo moves slightly but ableton doesn't update anything.. I'm using a trial to test this out.. do you know if it is supported?

    • @beatlabacademy
      @beatlabacademy  7 лет назад

      Should be supported. Did you already upload the Firmata sketch to the Arduino? Does Ableton recognize the Arduino?

    • @owlytv
      @owlytv 7 лет назад +1

      I found the issue and raised a bug report with them.. They've hardcoded the requirement for the firmware name to be firmatastandard above a given version.. so if you import the contents of firmata in to your own sketch it will report the version correctly but because the sketch name is something else it never properly initialises serial on the arduino.. pretty annoying!

    • @kmlremix6016
      @kmlremix6016 6 лет назад

      Have the same problem ... You say you found the issue. Could you please explain: "The have hardcoded the requirement ..." Sorry I do not understand what you mean, but I believe that´s the reason of no success - so I´ll try to understand it ... THX!!!

  • @naturecollision

    too loud to trigger actual drums though, your demo is a long winded way of going from digital to analog to trigger a digital sample... lol show me a motor or actuator that is actually inaudible, and I'll get excited.

    • @beatlabacademy
      @beatlabacademy  4 года назад

      Hey thanks for your feedback. This is a proof of concept on one way of using the free Connection kit from Ableton. Although yes inaudible motors would be awesome
