She’s really cute! The bag is my favorite. Maybe not placing the eyes higher, but changing the shape of the lower lid to cover the bottom of the iris, like Irish eyes. On that face sculpt, that may have created the “puffy” look you were wishing for. I have a tuxie cat who likes to lie on my desk, too. They are bowling balls on velvet feet with the most judgmental green eyes. I love them!

Maybe getting the sewing machine serviced might help it might function a bit better. My mum has had her sewing machine for well over a decade and the servicer was surprised that it was an old machine and said it was the most looked after the machine he had ever seen in his 30+ years of fixing them. She also looks so cute!
Oh Josephine! Just make sure you don't have your cat in your art room once your done with your project's. You can never worry too much if your cat ever put's things in his mouth.
I always close my art room just to keep my dogs safe from ever putting things in their mouth.

Try putting paper under your fabric so that your sewing machine doesn't eat your fabric when sewing.
She looks adorable, but why didn't you just use an old bottle cap for her bag? That would have been a lot easier.
