Ms. Hahn's performance is well controlled, yet passionate. The music is such a wonderful blend of familiar phrases and new musical ideas. Thank you so much for sharing the performance.
I agree. No movement is too fast or too slow. I really like her interpretation of the last movement: I find other performances/tempos to sound either rushed or labored, but her tempo and rubato are basically perfect in my opinion.
00:10 - (1) Obsession - Prélude (Poco vivace) 02:50 - (2) Malinconia (Poco lento) 05:23 - (3) Danse des ombres - Sarabande (Lento) 10:34 - (4) Les Furies (Allegro furioso) Please vote this up to keep it on top for easy reference - thank you!
I probably listened to it on loop for hours while I did my school work and I’m still not bored by it! (I did memorize it though in my head because I listened to it so much lol)
i love the interpretation of no.2 and no doubt she has incred technique and sound (it was BEAUTIFUL) but in my humble opinion, i think this piece needs a bit more edge (being obsession and all) - a more harsh difference between the dark and light of the piece:) regardless... it's better than ill ever play it lol

This is the right speed. Every note is honoured and not just overlooked. Great attitude, too! Well-done!

Underrated piece.
Absolutely gorgeous performance. Passionate, full of depth, originally sophisticated. The second movement is glorious. Thank you for posting.
This could be the all-time best version.
Anybody know what violin she plays? Apart from her superb playing I think this is also a superb instrument. Paul
She plays on a violin made by Mattheus Goffriler in the 1800's. Not sure of the price tho
Good sounds, near of perfection
Beautiful playing!
No one in my humble opinion has a better interpretation of L’obsession than you well done :)
Augustin Hadelich
@@Ciaccona255 I do like Hadelich's interpretation as well, but I do still believe she did better
Bravo!
I’m surprised not many people listened to this

I want to know who the 9 people who disliked this were. I sense a musical IQ of 7 over here
