I had this procedure at L3, L4 and L5 in late October 2020 and after eight weeks have 90% full motion restored with minimal pain.
I had also. But my concern is. The stress it will guve to ur spinus process when you twist your body. Bec fusion will not allow the vertebras with coflex to twist
What is the service life of the Coflex implant?
Could you please translate the deflection / Load graph into additional weight (maximum) that a person with coflex can carry. For example, can he still carry 1 or 2 -50kg sack of rice?
I had a surgery on 10/13/2021
Dr. Inserted coflex at Staten Island University Hospital with Dr Edwin Chang
It works
No more pain for me
Thank you Dr Chang
I am considering this, (if available in my country). I have spondylolisthesis. Not sure though if laminectomy is part of the operation.
I agree, no sound, and I expected a narration also.
I had the procedure. It works,
I too had the surgery two and a half years ago at age 75. Fantastic success. Total flexibility, no more pain. Should have done it four years earlier
On which vertebral level ? Does it compromise your flexibility ?
@@georgekolotouros548I have the Coflex. The only flexibility change I noticed is if I lay on my stomach on a super soft mattress and it bends my back backwards. I feel slight discomfort. But before my surgery I couldn’t bend either way without screaming.
Is no sound intentional? I expected narration...
I have the impression that these animations are an oversimplification of the procedure(s). This may seduce people in accepting or even requesting a procedure without good understanding of risks and disadvantages. I think these oversimplifications are a threat to the health of people and at the least a sincere disclaimer should point out the schematic character of these animations. You might be prosecutable.
