    I have a small panga I use to fish the flats in Texas. I always enjoy seeing how other people use pangas in the States.

      A mini panga for inshore would be awesome. Same here. Definitely a niche here but I love them.

    Diving offshore platforms is way more challenging than it looks in these videos. The cobra is worth the trip though. Keep up the great videos.

      It definitely is difficult compared to open water.. having to weave between legs and beams, tangles etc…

    I was snorkeling here in ontario and learned I can hardly go deeper than 18 feet. My ears and the pressure is insane

    • @BradenDives
      @BradenDives  4 месяца назад +2

      Check out equalization videos for the ears!! If you are feeling pressure in your sinuses as well that’s something that just has to clear out. At depth as well you’ll feel pressure on the lungs as they compress as well. At 33 feet your lungs are half the normal size.

      Yes! Stoned a handful and seen a handful get stoned but definitely gotta hit the sweet spot. Right in the dome of spine.. wish I could say I hit it more lol but as of late it hasn't happened..

    Double roller vs triple band which do you prefer thinking about building a roller been rocking traditional bands for a while

    • @BradenDives
      @BradenDives  4 месяца назад

      Really depends on preference!
      Personally for simplicity of loading the 3 bands is easier and less of a hassle.
      The double roller I have to use a load assist, which doesn’t take long it’s just an extra thing or step to get loaded. Have to focus on loading more so.
      Loading out of the question though the double roller is sweet- you have a clear sight after you shoot because the bands don’t block it. Video looks better on shots with the rollers. I do believe if rigged right as well you will get more punch at range. 3 bands probably gets more acceleration right off the bat but double roller will punch more on the farther shots. Not to mention it’s smoother as well.
      Personally I only have the use for the double rollers for long shots at wahoos and punching through big cubera. Other than that it isn’t a ‘have to have’ unless it’s preference.

    how far out do you have to go to get red snapper?

  • @ChristianSheer
    @ChristianSheer 4 месяца назад +1

    Nice vid. Surprised you need to wear wetsuit and gloves etc with those water temps?

    • @BradenDives
      @BradenDives  4 месяца назад +1

      Wetsuits have bigger uses for us than the temp. They make us buoyant allowing us to float at the surface to relax before diving. This also is a safety feature in case someone blacks out. The suit is also a 'shield' or rashguard from fish spines, jellyfish etc...
      Also, at depth we hit a thermocline so the water does get a bit colder. At the surface it is definitely warm enough to not need a suit though. As far as the gloves they aren't used for insulation but protection from cutting our hands.

    That couldn't have been a red snapper. Those are endangeres species. Rarer than goliath groupers and pink snapper.
