Very helpful, thanks! I just successfully installed the same adjustable jacks you have onto an existing roof with a steep pitch so that I have a work platform to replace an exterior window. Works like a charm. Anyone reading this installing jacks onto an existing roof, using something like a drywall/puddy knife gently pry and work your way under shingles until you can insert the jack for nailing. Then follow this videos same instructions for removing. Thanks again!
I use these as a painter . We stay in one spot a long time , so put down something like a drop or cardboard etc where your feet dig in so you don't wear down the shingles , especially on a hot day. I can't tell you how many times I've seen worn out patches from the previous painters or other trades . But staple down your drop (lightweight staples are fine) or it will slide resulting in what I call a "Magic Carpet Ride )
It cracks me up when I drive by really beautiful, expensive houses and I think about how the owners usually aren't aware that just under the visibly pleasing surfaces is a janky mess of nails, globs of caulking, and wadded up trash from the builders.

So true! 😂
Did you nail the brackets into a rafter or just the plywood?
I nailed them into the roof trusses not just the plywood.
How did you know where the trusses are?
Can you use screws?
Not advised. Screws typically have a weaker shear strength. More likely to fail if you happened to slide down or fall onto the board.
Screws r brittle
Why isn't there a video on how to set up roof Jack's for tearing off and for underlayment and for shingling?
I am working on that
You haven’t made one yet
Does anybody know if insurance companies pay for these roof jacks
No, they do not. For what reason do you think the insurance companies would pay for them?
That's not a roof jack. It's a staging bracket. Wow
