هوشنگ ابهتاج. ه. الف. سايه.
بر سنگ گورى تازه نامى هست
دارنده اين نام را هر گز نديدم من
اينجا ميان سوگواران، آشنايانند و خويشانند
و مردمانى هم كه چون من دارنده اين نام را هرگز نديده اند و نميدانند
اما هر كس كه اينجا هست باخشم و فريادى گره در مشت
ميداند كه او را كشت
بر گرد گور تازه جمع سوگواران ست
ديگر كسى اينجا نميپرسد اين خفته در خاك از كدام و از كدامان ست
‎ميدانند او فرزند ايران است

There is a name on the tombstone of a freshly dug grave
I have never seen the owner of this name
Here, amongst the mourners, there are friends and relatives
Also some people like me who have never known this name
But whoever is here, with his feast full shout and anger, knows who killed him
Around this freshly dug grave, is a group of mourners
No one asks anymore that who this laying down here is or from which family he has come from
They all know who is a son of Iran
