SA80 all the way, have first generation star SA80 and LSW with polycarbonate gearboxes, still both going strong many years later, they have taken an absolute pounding. Can’t fault them, so would not hesitate to buy the new one
2 points I've found on this gun; The issue you have with the half cocking on 11.1 every other shot and working fine on 7.4 is probably because the EFCS is programmed to a 2 cell Li-Po 7.4v... reprogramming it with the Ares EFCS programmer will sort this. Second point, I've opened my one up and the stock barrel is only 200mm long!
I thought the Kel Tec had a terrible battery storage compartment, but the L85 is worse. If I had to choose I would go with the Kel Tec. Have you heard anything about the Silverback MDRX release date?
Bought mine 3 weeks ago. So far 3 major parts breakdowns. Runs like a bag of spanners falling down stairs. Broken my heart so it's going back. Such a shame.
@@Thomas-om6ov Ran it with an 11.1v Lipo. Charging handle split and split and broke off (twice - repaired on warranty and split a second time) and the gearbox seized after throwing pieces into the moving parts. Also the battery compartment (hand grip) cover latch failed due to vibration and dropped off. It always felt rough on firing but actually ran consistently at 345-348 fps out of the box. As I say. Such a shame. Beautiful rifle but unreliable.
@@tacticallabrador4449 cheers for the info. I take it that 11.1V is too much power for it then? Would probs go to 7.4V. I’m thinking of getting one. Slightly put off buying one by reading your comment tho. 😔
Cheers. Yeah. It appears 11.1v is too high but that's exactly what the manufacturers instructions recommend so go figure.. at least the warranty appears to be good as it's back in the shop again for more free repairs. It's a genuinely beautiful rifle and feels/handles fantastically. Who knows. Maybe I just found myself a bad example. Give it a try and let me know if it runs well for you.
Just bought one of these from you, quick question, will I invalidate the Warranty if I cnage the spring. FPS with 2.Og BB is only 0.78 Joules, want an FPS closer to 340 fps for use in UK... any advice ? I understand there is a Rapid Velocity Tuning System, but no info. as how to access or adjust, or if spring needs changing..
I know you made this comment ages ago, but did you ever figure out the 'Rapid Velocity Tuning System'? i've just got one and can't find any info ANYWHERE on it XD! Cheers!
Hey Bespoke, you recommended replacing the spring to get it to shot at 400-450 FPS. What spring would it be? Im newer to upgrading guns and not sure where to start
“Lefty friendly” as the bolt proceeds to slap me in the face repeatedly
Had to disable the EBB on mine lol.
as a lefty, ive learnt to shoot right handed lol
@@cateyestudios6592 Just like the real soldiers!
I would still choose the L85A3

Likewise mate
TBH they should extend it, it's not like we could fucking actively play for the last year...
I have the L85A3 arriving tomorrow.
Can’t wait for the weekend with that and my new Glock 17 G4
Hopeful to get one before we ban airsoft in Canada, but so far we're putting up a good fight. Awesome platform 😎
Keeping on fighting mate, much support from the UK
With you all the way, the world is watching...

sa80 all the way
How can I put a sling on it? Preferably single-point sling
l85a3 all the way
this model is like a PS5, I can’t find it in stock anywhere
Love it, but both are gonna be in my collection.
Battery space is very limited....bummer!
3:31 i see that sneaky trigger pull
No it's not a lefty or ambidextrous weapon it's meant to be fired right hand only
It's a nice one!
What version internals does it take? If something breaks can i replace it with common parts?
Same parts as the area M4 X class
What is the blue sniper in the background

Silverback have pushed it back to the end of the year, you're waiting on the same news as me sadly!
The battery storage is much better than the AKs that store the battery in the stock!

what broke on it?

I’ve heard these aren’t full 1:1 scale is this false?
I hadn’t heard that but now you’ve said it..... i can’t unsee it, it does look smaller

How about the ICS L85A3 also release recently? I would love to see you compare these two brands side by side.
where did you hear they are releasing one?
@@Thomas-om6ov oh I just realise it's a conversion kit made by angry gun for the old ics L85, but it's been sold as a completed gun in Hong Kong

google will give you your answer bud
@@MarcusAurelius-20VT and what did Google say ? :)
I have same question, FPS is very low...
Some sites might only allow a certain FPS or joule so upgrade it yes but maybe only up to 350
you cant shoot the l85 left handed lul
R is repetition. Not repeat.
Ah yes... a H&K 416 in L85 furniture.
He said, as though it were a bad thing.
416 came after the A2 😉
L85 every time but god no not Ares. I'll go G&G as there really isnt any other option as ICS still need to update there's
Why not ares dude?
Ares Amoeba ccr arribes at 60 meters and is cheapest
