If Hitler died then a more component leader would have likely replaced him which means that Nazi Germany would stand a much better chance at winning the war. At one point in time, a team of allied snipers were set up to kill Hitler but it was called off since allied command decided that if Hitler died then a more capable leader would take his place.

There are many more places where he could have died on the front.. There are many more places where he could have died on the front.. Since he was wounded about a few times on the front line and 2 of them were chlorine gas attacks during a offensive (reason why he despised chemical weapons on the battlefield and did not allow the use of it aslong the enemy did not.) and once a bunker he was heading towards got struck by artillery and exploded a few seconds before he was about to enter it wounding him again by shrapnel..
And each time he demanded to be send back to the front once he recovered even though he could have being given a honourable discharge if he wanted to.. So I got to give the man credit where it is due.. He is no coward when it comes to frontline combat atleast when he was younger. And he had the medals to proof it..
