Thing is even if Hitler was taken out, well at least any when after he got to power, someone else (probably Goebbels or Himmler) would of just took his place, and Himmler especially would of been worse than Hitler was I think. It wouldn't of ended Nazism in Germany. Even Churchill thought it was pointless to assassinate him as he knew that would happen.

This probably won't be popular but Hitler not dying could actually be a good thing. If Hitler died then a more component leader would have likely replaced him which means that Nazi Germany would stand a much better chance at winning the war. At one point in time, a team of allied snipers were set up to kill Hitler but it was called off since allied command decided that if Hitler died then a more capable leader would take his place.

He was a broken man after this incident and rarely spoke to Göring again, and was often overheard repeating Ich bin der beste **_BOMB_** Farter im ganzen Dritten Reich. Of course, Hitler was not the only evil: Churchill wanted war with Germany to remove Germany as a regional power. The Soviet Union actually took more of Poland than Germany did (Soviet Union also took over the Baltic States). Unfortunately for Churchill, England lost the war since England was no longer a great power after the war, and also did not obtain its supposed objective, the freeing of Poland, since Poland ended up under the Soviet Union.

I don’t think Hitler’s WW1 encounter with British Private Henry Tandy actually took place. It’s a fun story, but we only have Hitler’s word for it that this near-death experience took place. Hitler could not possibly have known it was Tandy, even though he claimed to have recognized Tandy from a painting after the war. Tandy never remembered the event, and I find his word more reliable than Hitler, who was a notorious liar.

There are many more places where he could have died on the front.. Since he was wounded about a few times on the front line and 2 of them were chlorine gas attacks during a offensive (reason why he despised chemical weapons on the battlefield and did not allow the use of it aslong the enemy did not.) and once a bunker he was heading towards got struck by artillery and exploded a few seconds before he was about to enter it wounding him again by shrapnel..
And each time he demanded to be send back to the front once he recovered even though he could have being given a honourable discharge if he wanted to.. So I got to give the man credit where it is due.. He is no coward when it comes to frontline combat atleast when he was younger. And he had the medals to proof it..
He was considered a war hero by a majority of Germans for his courage.. Which sadly helped him gigantically during his political career.. Especially among the more older Germans and veterans at the time whom remember the Great War.

Problem is if Hitler had been assassinated, there were much more capable people in his government capable of prolonging the war like Reinhardt Heinrich.

In my opinion the word "we" is mostly incorrect if it's used in connection with a past moment that happend when non of us was born, ecspecially not the one using it.

You forgot one: The judge who sentenced Hitler for insurrection for the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch could have given him life instead of three years--finally reduced to bit more than 13 months. Leaving the Junker-era judges in power was the worst feature of the Weimar Republic.

It is now widely believed that Hitler did not commit suicide but had been secreted away and managed to get out of Berlin before it was surrounded, he then made his way to the Baltic, boarded a submarine, and headed to Argentina which already had been picked as the spot the German war criminals would head if their efforts went south, which they did.

Several top level Nazis and SS members made it down there, an it is safe to assume with no definitive proof or witnesses to his death, that Hitler did too. Furthermore Hitler was not the type of person to end his own life, he was for all intents and purposes a coward.

Lastly and most importantly he was already using body doubles because of the amount of attempts on his life and easily could have left much sooner than that leaving a double in his place.
