My top 3 choices @ #7 : Knecht, Williams, Holland. In that order. I'm interested in Salaun, but he just looks SO raw & I worry it'll never come together.

This is a good draft. There are things that come to light when the playoffs conclude. 1. who is the world champs. 2. holes that are exposed in your roster in the playoffs. Biggest clue that there is talent in the draft is all the trade buzz.

I am super biased on Cody Williams, but what I saw in EYBL he has some talent!!

Imagine we get Clingan & Holland, Williams, or the other Colorado guy

Clingan is the most overrated prospect in this draft. & the idea that he might become a floor spacer in any way is the biggest draft pipe dream I've ever heard.

Ron Holland seems to be losing a lot of love, possibly smoke screen, but he is one of the better all around talents and very young. If he played college instead of the G whiz league, he would be much easier to evaluate, but he still to me has a chance at being a quality starter.

      What’s your comparison? Harrison Barnes?

I love the strategy of Williams/Salaun at 7 for upside, and safe role player type at 14. The only reason I wouldn’t want it to be Da Silva is because they already have so many people in that mold at the 4 (Camara, Walker, Murray) that I’d rather go for someone like that at guard or center. If Devin Carter is available at 14 I’d take him without hesitation

Da Silva can hit the 3. The mentioned haven’t proved they can. That’s the difference I see.

@@livingthefight3539 I’m not saying they have the same skillsets. I’m saying they would be fighting for the same minutes on the court. Even as it is they have enough of a logjam that it’s hard for all of them to get minutes, which makes it harder to make decisions about who fits best with each other and the other young guys. Not saying they absolutely shouldn’t take Da Silva. I’d just prefer to wait to take another role-player at the 4 until we learn more about the guys they have

I know what you are saying. I’m stating De Silva would deserve minutes over the 4’s you mentioned. De Silva fills a position of need for the Blazers. He can do everything a little bit and some things way better than what Portland has at the 4. Just my opinion. I hear yours

@@livingthefight3539 and thats where I’d say I still wouldn’t be absolutely opposed to him (though idk if I’d play him over Tou or Bari). Just that if they’re choosing positions to draft long-term role players, I think there’s more value in adding a potential long term backup guard. I also just love Devin Carter lol

#14 for Carter is a bit high for me. His game reminds me of an ex blazer. Patty Mills.

Let's draft another injury prone huge person! Why not put another Nurkic on the roster?

You haven't been a Blazers fan long if you think Nurkic was injury prone. Several bigs before him was hurt way more frequently than Nurk.

Stop it with Cody Williams, brother of a good player, just like Murray twin we drafted, hoped he would be like his brother..
Stop it, I don't believe in him one bit, he isn't even in my top 14
Holland if on board get him ASAP, tired of this projections on offense, I rather get Holland who is a defensive monster who can learn how to shoot, we have all the time in the world for that.
But defense, your either born with instincts or not.
Never in the NBA a player was awful on defense and became an elite defender. But bad offensive players became great
More than you can think of.
    Ask Kobe
