As someone who also performs live, sometimes you just have an off day when your voice just won't relax no matter what you do before you go out on stage. At least he doesn't mime and pretend it's live. Can always tell because when they start adlibbing, they sound different... Plenty of examples here on youtube
Holy shit, Barney really appears in his worst form here! Moves totally beary and clumsy, he's ageing way too damn bad, I fear he's going to risk a serious heart illness this way. And he's just 58 years old! And yeah, without Peter Hook's powerful bass lines New Order don't sound the same way anymore. Could you imagine, for instance, U2 without The Edge? Depeche Mode without Dave Gahan (or Martin Gore)? R.E.M. without Michael Stipe? Oasis without one of the Gallaghers? I find it all very sad.

Agree, they're happier healthier and more wholesome now. Pete just seems very belligerent and it seems sad that Bernard bears more of the brunt, even though he was indeed guilty of petulance in the past. I went to wythenshawe and loved it so hoping for more!
