  • Yak hair is a great fly tying material for saltwater baitfish patterns. Stiff enough to not foul but still has plenty of movement in the water. I was turned onto this fly by Ruper Harvey and since trying it out it has become a staple of my snook and tarpon box. This fly has be fantastic for both snook and tarpon from the beach all summer and even managed redfish on this fly as well.

Yes some style as a peanut butter but all natural hair so it will have more movement, durability, and you won’t need to comb it out.
