Amazing, I have just been given new responsibilities at work, and project libre is now one of my work tools, not only this one but all the tutorials from you I watched have been a great help!
When changing start times in the calendar it does not change the start time on the sheet. I noticed when you changed to 18:00 it still shows it is a start of 8:00am. Any way to fix this?
I've been working with PL for a few days, and I just learned from watching your video that "days" means calendar days, not 24 hour periods! When working in a 24x7 environment the concept of calendar days is not only meaningless, it's obstructive and confusing.
Thanks, sir for this explanation. I would ask you about the milestones. Why when I set the milestone , give me extra 1 day on the board for example milestone 26/9 with 0 day. it is shown on the board 27/9 ?
Is it possible to change the date and time settings from user entering start date/start time + duration and the software calculating the end date/end time, to user entering start date/start time + end time and the software calculating the duration? I prefer this format if it exists because decimal durations aren't logical to me. For example, project starts at 1pm on Monday, and ends at 5pm on Wednesday. In order to have this stop time in the system I need to enter 1.714 days for the duration. This video was also helpful for other settings that I didn't know about. Thanks!
Suppose I would like to manage the time, I know that an activity would be finished within 14 days if I use 1 worker. But If I add more 1 worker the activity should be finished early within 7 days. My question is how can I add another thre columns (1. quantity of work 2. 'man at work' 3. 'productivity of work') before I calculate 'duration'?
Hi everybody. Thank you for the video, but i have some problems, and i hope to find some help here. I use Project Libre sicne a few hours. I already made my first project, inserted a dozen of tasks. Now I would like to be able to work sundays and saturdays. I did not change my calendar before creating my project, but i would like to do it now, without recreating it. I tried to change the "standard calendar" - it looks like is accepts my changes, still nothing happened. I created a "New calendar", where all days are working days, I assigned in the project window the project to this calendar - Sunday is still "unworkable". I assigned each single task to work according to the "new calendar" - all the same. I can´t even create a new task which would start on Sunday!! (although, I can use Saturday). Can someone help me change my calendar in an already existing project?
So my question is this: if there are 5 people and they all work different days and different times, how would I set up my work schedule accordingly. Secondarily, sometimes their schedule changes from week to week based on their availability. Any thoughts?
If you go to the resource tab and then click on Resources. Follow that up by double-clicking on your resource and then click on the calendar icon to adjust their calendar just like he showed in the video.

Glad to help.
Thanks a lot Phillip, simple and exactly what I needed.
Great presentation, you do a great job explaining the material. Thank you.
Good explanation. Congratulations Phillip
You explained some complexities that would be harder to understand without demonstration and exlpanation.
Thanks for the video, it was helpful.
Thanks Philip, really helpful video.
Thanks for this video. Is it possible to change the duration column to show hours, rather than days?
Thank you for your detailed explanation! This was very helpful !!

Any way to start the week on a Monday, please? Thank you!
Great, thank you...more people like you :)
good one. any idea how to remove hour from calendar? I mean in Start and End timeline, I only need date without hour.
Many thanks, this is very useful for me.

Excellent video.
Good video! Do you know how you set up a fixed cost of a project in Project Libre???
Good explanation thanks
what's the difference in duration setting and work hours?

I cannot change the working calendar. as soon as I press "ok" it reverts back to 24 hr (imported)

Hi, do you know how to change VIEW instead of showing days to show weeks or months:
How do you add exceptions for the holidays?
How I can setting working time for 02 team on Project libre ( Ex : team A 8/day and team B 12h/day ? )
HI, how to change duration to "weeks" instead of "days"?
Good video thanks. FYI: You've got your Saturdays and Sundays around the wrong way at the start of the video.
I'm glad it was of use.
Thanks a lot!
How do I change the scale of the calendar to weeks instead of days?
This is so unintuitive? Couldn't they just have created a field called "7 Days Working"
