Thanks for pumping out the content man, no idea how you find the time, channel has come a long way since the posts promoting it in the FB groups haha. Looking forward to season ahead!
Thanks mate!! You’re a good man!
love the idea of just starting with yeo and holding all year. Finished the year at $920K+. Fitting the best 2 scorers in the game and working around those two sounds like the way i’ll start the season!
Yeah thinking the same, always try and play around at the start and end up trading a Yeo in later for so much more coin. Love the idea of keeping and holding all season bar serious injury.
let me just say this i started fantasy 3 years ago yeo is the only player to be in my team the entire time i have never traded him
A potential risk with Yeo not mentioned in the video is by locking in 2 most expensive players in Vegas and not knowing exactly what TLT1B poses, you could be left with some surgery needed if not enough/right cheapies etc
Great info mate. I've got May, Yeo & Seyfarth in the mids at the moment. I think Seyfarth could score alright if he gets a starting edge spot.
Decided to go Watson,May, Yeo. loaded up a bit too much than i wanted but cant go wrong with them 3
may, yeo & fainu hope plays the big minutes again would be good
lock in Terrell may with the big C round one
I’m locking in May, Tapine & JFH. Predicting 60+ mins from both Taps & Fish at Vegas with them getting a 2week layover & putting the Cap on Tapine for a cheeky POD (H2H)
If JFH gets 60+ minutes, It will be the May and JFH show! 🤣
Might be coincidence (and probably affected by deep Origin forward depth) but Madge played Haas for around 55 mins in each of the Origin games which would definitely cut the value he has. I actually didn’t own him at all last year.
In 2022-23 Yeo scored worse with Cleary than without and no killer ceiling usually means I don’t start with him.
Biggest interest could be Koloamatangi role but want to know long term role and Murray return. If Haas wasn’t injured in preseason probably would have been clear 1 for me to start
um idk what u mean about yeo in 22 with cleary he had a 56 avg without he had a 64 2023 there was only 2 games where cleary didnt play with him so bit unfair to compare that in 24 it was pretty much the same so ur just wrong and im glad u aint starting him bec thats 1 less team who has him
@@lewismurray4113how is it that I’m wrong if that’s exactly what the stats show 😂 You can extend to all Yeo lock games with and without Cleary and it’s 59.9 with and 62 without over a big enough sample size
I also said ‘it usually means I don’t start with him’
I don’t think Madge is the type of bloke to make Payne play 65+ mins at beginning of season especially with that lingering injury
Im avoiding the top guns with May being my most expensive, paired with Stefano and JFH, Tuilagi and Gilbert on the Edge and then Watson, Whyte and Howarth which pretty much allows me to move my forwards around alot and still field a full team
With the more expensive players, May, JFH and potentially even Stefano all have upsides of around that 60 mark, May being the most likely to reach that even if he only plays 55-60 minutes a game because of his insane PPM, and potentially in a not as good team as roosters from last year could probably have another couple 80 minute games, which could even see him exceeding Yeo imo, with JFH, if he plays maybe 60 minutes a game, he will also average closer to that 58-60 points, and Stefano averaged 52.5 before round 17 with a PPM before round 17 just above 1 (about an average of 52 minutes before round 17) so if he gets closer to that 60 mark he could also be a 60 average guy
When those 3 guys are 200-280k less than Haas and Yeo, but have potentials to be even with or better than Haas, and May having potential to outscore Yeo, i dont really see the point of getting Yeo other than the fact hes done it before, which isnt really worth the +200k he is worth over the 3 i mentioned imo.
Im my 2nd year and aiming for top 500, came ~2800th last year with an absolutely abysmal first 10 rounds (no idea what i was doing) outside of Hynes and Crichton just before origin. I think if i wanna aim high this year i gotta take risks if it has a huge payoff, if all goes well i get someone that scores as well as Yeo, without having Yeo, meaning i basically get a 200k advantage on those that chose him from the start which could be absolutely massive for my chances at getting that spot.
Also another thing I wanna point out about Barnett, last year at prop he averaged 46.8 in 60 minutes with Shaun Johnson in the side with a ppm of 0.78, but without Shaun Johnson, with 9 more minutes a game, (at 69.6) he averaged almost 30 points more each game with an average of 74 across his 5 games at prop without SJ with a ppm of 1.07. Obviously the odds of this happening throughout the season without SJ this year is probably a bit low, but it could be a sign that he 1. Takes on that role of leadership without SJ and leads the team around and puts in more effort, or 2, that TMM gives him the ball more often leading to more runs/tackle breaks etc, maybe even a mixture of both. There's no way he will average 74 obviously, but I reckon an average of 60+ isn't that unlikely, and potentially has a decent chunk of upside, there's definitely a few better options than him, but he's probably a fair bit better than what he seems at face value
That is one bloody hot take saying Stefano could average 60. I don’t think he’ll even get out of the 40s given he doesn’t really have upside for mins in congested Storm pack
@@lachlancamilleri6690 i mean, his PPM will probably be really close to 1, like it was before his massive form slump last year, and I think he at least gets 50 minutes (maybe not for the first few rounds, but maybe by round 3-5 he will) and with Massive damaging props like your Haas's, AFB's etc they usually average 50-60 minutes even if the team does play well, the only outlier being JFH at Penrith from time to time. He might not start 60 minutes until round 6 or 7, but I think he has similar value to JFH, just that value will take alot longer to arrive as his minutes will slowly increase from probably that 45-50 mark to that 55-60 mark, maybe at a better team with a better coach, maybe his PPM increases a tad bit as well
Murray has been cleared for R1 (via NRL physio)
Koloamatangi off the table then
I know Hass is a big minute guy but will the new coach drop his minutes back? Maybe give him a bigger rest and let him have a shorter 2nd stint.
im currently on may yeo and watson so i have 1
Bro has $12 to spend on the rest of his team with that mid pack
I'm running the same, debating putting in Barnett and keeping the extra cash
Hey Jamie, I was wondering if there was any way I could send you my team (provisional obviously 😂) and you could let me know where I could improve?
I only do team reviews in the private group otherwise I wouldn’t have a second to scratch myself 😂 info is in the description. Thanks for watching!
This might be a silly question, but when you mention the "private group", is this on FB?
It is correct!
I'm thinking May, Watson and Whyte.
What’s SuperCoach? Asking for a friend
How and when will
Watson be changed to DPP?
R1 if named HOK
lets goo im the first commentor
surely getting a top tier mid isn't that important. wouldn't it make more sense to pick players purely based on value (provided you have good captaincy options elsewhere)?
Doesn’t work that way, you’ll see
What are the most important positions to get out of the way first in the fantasy draft in your opinion?
I normally work my team around my half and my mids, probably the 2 highest scoring positions
Yep gun half and at least two gun mids is ideal
Appreciate the response guys, always hard on draft because people will probably take the halves second round of the draft but I’ll try 🤞
You are under-rating Barnett. Harris and AFB were huge minute MIDs and Barnett is in line to step up to take them this year. JFH averaged 51 minutes and is playing less each season. Barnett gets 60+ minutes each week at prop, averaging 63 last season given that role and minutes. He has been an 80 minute MID before, could easily be the next Yeo. EDG is easily covered by Capewell, Ford and Niukore. Killed it when Tohu wasn't available and playing huge minutes at prop last season - 66 average at Prop without Tohu. Going to be a great POD!
Thanks for the helpful comment, just replied to you on video
