Yesterday evening,(25th Feb 2023,) 7:30pm we made our ascent to the top of the chimney/funnel,Amazing views of the Metropolis & the Father Thames River,we only had 7 minutes to savour the experience but, I felt it was worth it.All the lights looked magnificent against the blackened sky at night.Worth the money,I recommend this experience.
I liked the view better from from The Eye and Sky Garden than here... but I think I would have liked it better if it was longer than eight minute. I think I'd probably skip it and go to the Sky Garden one - much more time you can take there. I've been on the CN Tower a few times, when it was the "world's tallest free-standing building", and you could spend as much time as you liked up there. I understand Battersea is a nice shopping mall - I'd probably walk around a while in there and maybe have a nice lunch instead. Thanks so much for showing us this... its things like this that keep me coming back for more!
That’s really cool I’d love to go there I like old buildings and I’m happy to see em recycled for a new use too. Wish we had cool stuff like this in USA 🇺🇸
The railway bridge is called the Grosvenor bridge and it actually comprises 10 separate single track bridges between each pier. You can see this feature in your video.
What an amazing experience. I would love to do that but 8 minutes is no time at all. I think there are other buildings and the London Eye 👁 that give more interesting views. Though it would be nice to see across to Twickenham. I think the whole experience in the lifts is better than the views even allowing for the views of the Thames as that is always nice to see.
The views are lovely from up there and I'd say as a Londoner I think you'd appreciate it more as you'll know the skyline better. Thanks for watching :)
What a spectacular experience!! I really like the interior of the Power Station with the gift shops and concession shops. But the doorway to go into the areal of the lift was wonderful. Reminded me of a Disney World ride experience. The interactive walls - great. The lift itself was fantastic. I would love to see the all around of London. So do they have a limit as to how many people can ride at one time? You mentioned around 30 folks in there. Just curious. I did not realize the London Eye was soooooo high in the sky. I think I shall skip that one. I think I saw the Sky Garden, but after seeing this, I want to watch that again! Thank you for posting this brand new experience in London. Blessings.
Thanks for producing the video. We are planning a trip there this Saturday. Can you answer a quick question? Someone we are taking is not great with stairs because of a slight breathing issue. Was the walking part relatively easy? Thanks
Hi there, have a fantastic time and there is a lift available tomtake you up to the viewing platform and the staff were very helpful as well. Have a great visit 👍😀
hi mate great video, just wondering how long it took from the time on your ticket to when you emerge at the top of the glass lift to see the views, Thanks
From memory a good 30 mins? As you are downstairs looking at the history first then in another area before moving up any floors. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 👍😀
Superb video - is it wise to arrive 20 mins before ticket time ? and is it easy to get to I09 theme entrance from the lower floors, e.g., signposted, etc and is it scary going up in the glass lift ?
Hi Dafydd it is wise to be on the building but they won't let you near the security entrance until 5 mins before at the most, they actually send you away if too early. It is really easy to find as it is the whole of one end of the hall, with escalators and lifts going up to it, within the shopping centre/building.Its funny you ask if it's scary as I had this concern about the glass lift going all the way up, but the glass part is the final lift part and only goes up the final bit of the chimney at a slow rate. It is a great experience and when are you going?
@@LondonVisited Thanks - eyes shut for me to go up in the Glass Elevator - vertigo; okay when up at top of towers; loved the Shard experience. Should be going up in March for my birthday
I want to do this but I'm not sure If it's a good idea... I suffer from chronic vertigo, like the literal textbook definition of genuine vertigo. I'm sometimes okay but maybe it's not worth taking the risk.
The BT tower lift ( also ) takes you to spectacular viewing platforms ..... but sadly is now closed to the public .... stepping out the lift at the top is a LARGE gap , like looking down a mine shaft ( scary when 9 years old ! ! ) .. DAVE™🛑
Like many London's attractions lift109 is a big disappointment. Don't get me wrong, the view is nice, but long waiting cues, unnecessary paranoia security check and fake 109 meters lift, because it doesn't go 100 meters high, you enter set of lifts which are already in second floor and those take you to roughly to 60 meters. Then you need to walk 40 stairs to actual lift109 which is at high of 67 meters !! What a scam ! It should be called lift42, yes, the lift is very slow and lift you only 42 meters up !! Then you suppose to spent there 10 minutes, but its less then that. Save your money and book free ticket to Sky gardens.
Brilliant. Thanks for bringing to us. Cheers
Thanks so much for watching...

Fantastic, delighted you had a brilliant time and wonderful views :)
And another reason for us to come back to London 😊
Loved this! love this structure’s art deco design element! ❤

Steve, love it you've got it planned out and the other benefit of the Sky Garden is it is free! Love the idea of lunch! Thanks for watching :)
I love the shopping experience
Superb, I love the energy here. BANG! and you’re at the top.
Thanks so much for watching 👍😀

Yes 8 mins is very quick especially if not taking photos to start with and then realise you have only a couple left.... :)
Beautiful view at the top. I personally would never go in something like that because I hate lifts.
It looks really great I am Londoner but rarely do Tourist stuff I am pretty tempted to try this though.

Yes they do put a limit on it, think of approx 30, especially as need that space to walk round and see from all sides across the top of London :)
Fantastic.

How long does it stay on top
For ?
About 8 minutes :)
I went on the 27th of may 2023 and wow it was amazing will do it again
Fantastic - love the bit as the lift pops out the top!
How much is the ticket?
Have a look on their website for up to date prices 👍😀
It was awesome, thx Pink Floyd
Totally! :)
You better watch out
There may be dogs about

If in doubt don't do it - the bit where you come out into the light would not be good for you! As you say its not worth it!
5:39 that's Chelsea bridge (widest in Ldn) not Battersea Bridge which is seen just west of Albert Bridge (5:21)
Love a bit of lift action 109
I'm up for that or down depending on the direction - have you been on it yet? 😂👍😀

That must have been amazing, shame they haven't reopened it (yet!)
Well, I like it❤
Once upon time, before a wide angle lenses were invented
❤❤❤
Maybe some kind of camera stabilization next time?.... 😊
Rip off price to just see this for 8 minutes. I rather be on the 100 garden not sky garden the free one and see the view for free.
Know which one you mean, the Garden at 120 - lovely there :)
@@LondonVisited Yes that 120 Garden

Video at start has very little information with rubbish graphics. The view at the top is well worth a trip.
Seeing the video and comments I went and wasted 65 pounds... don't know why they are charging for kids above 3 and below 5 ...
They’re chimneys, not funnels. 🙄
