Proud to have Dr. Usmani as my guide through the Myleoma journey. A great person who takes the time to get to know you as a patient and explain the science at a level that one can understand.
Personal opinion is myeloma may be the only cancer I can think of where targeted cell destruction makes sense, because these B clones wreak havoc overproducing antibodies. But the way I read it this destroys all B clones, not just the proliferating clone, so side effect immuno compromised during effective period. Also only works while therapy is given. I think better to target the reason why the B cells are going into survival mode. Hopefully this has nothing to do with radiation damage to the bone marrow like in leukemia, but afaik the B cells still work against infection except for that one clone family so probably just cancer program switched on due to too much iron in some spine locations.

Thank you Cindy and Dr. Usmani.
Fast CarT on China presentation apparently has shown 100% success! Would be nice to learn from them too perhaps!
