College football will never be the same again…this is the end of truely the greatest era in college football history and I’m glad I got to grow up seeing one of the most amazing dynasty’s I’ll ever see the rest of my life , it’s been an honor coach saban 😔
i have seen the good years of saben the bad years of shula and others for those that only for to see the saben era you are blessed Cheerish it because we may never see it again for a long time these coaches don't happen like this often last coach before nick was bear who was great look at the time gap we can only hope debaor live up to these large shoes

And to answer the question, “Why the losses?”: Because they shape the champion you become. To quote another Nolan film, “Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up again.”
I have a different take. Defeating Alabama during this reign was such a monumental task, that the teams who did it deserve to recognized. Beating Saban's Alabama took a truly peak performance from those teams, and looking at those games just re-enforces how dominant Alabama was.
It is not how you fall but how you rise back up that builds character and champions.
Tua coming in for Jalen, and then Jalen coming in for Tua will forever be college football lore...

I am so sad for the end of an era. I knew it would eventually come, but man. Roll Tide, coach. You are a legend and the program won't be the same without you. Thank you for putting us in a better place and on a different tier than we had been in a very long time.
To add to the legacy of the dynasty & Saban, he left his program (even though he still has an office) with the best roster per recruiting composites & a new head coach who was JUST in the national title game. Cannot wait to see what is named after him.
Cant believe its over.. now its up to the players and new coaches to keep the standard alive.. what Saban did will never be replicated now it's time to build a new dynasty
Some of the players aren't seeming to fare well with building a new dynasty though.. they would rather leave for a few more nice things before the NFL

17 years of perfection, yes we lost some but we learned and improved from the losses. Every moment was awesome. 17 yrs went so fast we all knew it would end someday. But what a hell of a ride. I watched bear then saban, i am truly blessed to have seen the 2 best ever do it at the same university. Thank you coach saban, i would not change one thing in those 17 yrs. Thank you ms terry you entire family for loaning you to us for so.much time. To the players the equipment managers evety coach admin and anyone asdociated with the 17 yrs of pure excellence. This was historic run and we the bamanation owe you all so much. For the last time to you guys ROLL TIDE.

Georgia fan here. Nick Saban and the Tide is like that big brother that you just can’t beat in a one v one. Not because your brother is being mean, but he loves the game and wants you to not only grow, but one day surpass him. Thank you Mr. Saban for teaching your players and many others who’ve watched and learned from you how to win. And not just how to win, how win with class and grace. What a legacy Mr. Saban. The game will surely miss you. Nick Saban the GOAT.

I honestly don’t think people really appreciate all that it takes to be this relentless. The hours of dedication and work to be this great. Dynasties don’t come along very often. A person with a vision, drive, willingness, sacrifice, aspiration, and knowledge to be the very best each and ever day. The attention to detail and not stepping over the little thing trying to get the bigger prize first. There will never be another coach Saban. We can only hope that others that have worked for him and have been around him can pick up where he left off and start there dynasties and carry the traditions and legacies. Coach Saban we can’t thank you enough for all that you and Ms. Terry have done not just for college football but for life lessons learned.

CHILLS, JOY, AND TEARS. i am so grateful to be a fan of THIS team in this era. there will never be another dynasty like this in college football. but even more importantly than the wins, i have learned a lot of life lessons from the losses and Coach's approach to the process. FOREVER THE GOAT.

Nick Saban was an incredible coach. Never had a losing season. Never had a reason for me to think less of him.
I've never been a Michigan State, LSU, or Alabama fan...and I never really rooted for his teams, but I knew...as did most of us, that his teams were going to be playing really good football.
My wife once asked me why I hated North Carolina basketball...but couldn't hate Duke. It was the same thing...Duke's coach had them play STELLAR basketball. It's hard to truly hate the guys who are doing the sport the right way.
Fair winds and Following Seas, coach Saban. You have earned all the glory and then some. Don't be a stranger.
Gratitude. We ALL owe Nick Saban that. He served a mighty purpose not only in the state of Alabama but across the country. He was much more than just a football coach. He got hired when I was in middle school. Now I’ve got twin boys. My dad wasn’t around to teach me much of anything. All the things I teach and will teach my kids I have to credit Coach Saban for instilling in me. That man will never know how much I owe him ❤🐘🐐

Wins were nice so were titles, but his true legacy is the impact on players town and state. From the tornadoes to his charities. That is the real saban legacy i will alwzys remember.
