@@jeffcordero_same thing happened to me this year on a 14 yard shot on a buck. Sevr deflected off the ribs and it exited much farther back and the arrow stayed in him. Found him 70 yards away but not the best blood trail
Nice buck glad you got him. I know everyone freeks out about arrow wieghts but ive actually had really short track jobs this year 40 to 60 yards. Shootin day six arrows with 125g iron will single bevels. That said i have killed a few animals with rage broadheads. I just feel from my own experience heavier arrows and fixed heads have performed better. Everyone cries about cost of broadheads but most cheap broadheads are 1 and done lol. Shot caught the ribs in the way in deflected, caught 1 lung and clipped the back of the other. I actually had an exit wound.
