    Now that I am all caught up, I would REALLY appreciate your recommendations about what other shows to react to (live-action and anime). As long as it is something I haven't watched before, I would love to watch it with you guys, so please leave a comment with your suggestions!! Thank you so much! ❤

      Personally, I'd love to see you react to Fargo; If you haven't seen it, I think you'd love it. There was a movie before there was a TV show, but it's not essential to watch that first. Each TV season is (relatively) self-contained, with only very minor overlaps in storyline elements...
      If you enjoy Sci-Fi, I'd thoroughly recommend the remake of Battlestar Galactica. It's far more serious and engaging than you might imagine; you will definitely have a roller coaster of emotions.

      Death Note and Spy Family are good recent animes, but maybe you've seen them already. Spy Family kind of blew up when I was last in Japan, so I'm still kicking myself for not picking up the manga. But I'm not always so smart in my headspace. 🤷‍♂

      @laidareacts I should probably mention, in case you do watch them... The Fargo movie, while great, is optional for enjoying the TV Show, but Battlestar has a two-part 'mini-series'/movie pilot-episode that comes before the TV Show, and everything will be super-confusing for a long time if you don't watch that first... lol

      @fen3184 thank you for letting me know! I am actually planning to start with Fargo first!!

    I think the confusion you are feeling is by design. Toranga's vassals are confused, and the viewer is confused. The show purposefully makes us question Toranaga, in the same way his vassals are questioning him. It's great writing.

    • @laidareacts
      @laidareacts  5 месяцев назад

      I think you are definitely right, now that I think of it! But while editing the video and saw myself so confused I kept saying "Laida you are so stupid, it was obviously his plan to mislead Ishido and the rest to really believe he has surrendered, why so confused", lol... But yeah, great writing!

    • @SCharlesDennicon
      @SCharlesDennicon 5 месяцев назад

      Now the question is... why hasn't Toranaga told Hiromatsu about his great plan, again?

    Hiramatsu's seppuku was not a pre-arranged meeting with Toranaga.
    The relationship of trust built over several decades has been completed.
    This is a silent exchange between Hiramatsu and Toranaga.
    Whether Hiramatsu is a senior vassal or not depends on when and how he uses his life.
    He saw through Toranaga's plan and fulfilled his role.
    The whole thing was a ploy to make Yabushige believe that he would surrender and join his side.

    • @laidareacts
      @laidareacts  5 месяцев назад +4

      yeah, I get that now! But while watching I was so confused, that everything went through my mind! But I really love your line "Whether Hiramatsu is a senior vassal or not depends on when and how he uses his life", it truly feels this way...

  • @FURIOSA175

    During the Warring States period, the issue was how to work for the lord.
    Even if it costs my life, it's a must.
    That is the main premise.
    During the Sengoku period, large armies of 20,000 to 30,000 people clashed.
    Of course there are circumstances.
    It will be a war of attrition for soldiers and supplies.
    Emphasis was placed on avoiding war through strategy.
    The battle between Toranaga and Ishido that occurs after this
    In historical fact, it was the Battle of Sekigahara between the Tokugawa army and Ishida army.
    I will omit the details.
    Ieyasu's army had about 70,000 soldiers, while Ishida's army had about 80,000.
    Finished in 6 hours
    This is because military commanders defected to neutral military commanders and the Tokugawa army.

    I think no deaths were planned. His "defeat" is a trick but in order for it to work it must be REAL. Hiromatsu sacrificed himself because the other guy was about to draw his sword to attack Toranaga.

    Είναι πολύ απλό ο Τορανάγκα παίζει το μακρύ παιχνίδι.Μην ξεχνάμε ότι στην Οσάκα υπάρχουν ως όμηροι μέλη πανίσχυρων οικογενειών που μπορούν να γίνουν σύμμαχοι του.οπότε ο Τορανάγκα θέλει να τους απελευθερώσει για να αποδυναμώσει με μυστικές διαπραγματεύσεις τον στρατό του Ισίντο. Άλλωστε και το σχέδιο του "πραγματικού Τορανάγκα " Τοκουγκάβα Ιεγιάσου ακόμα και στην διάρκεια της μάχης της Σεκιγκαχάρα προκάλεσε μεγάλες αυτομολήσεις συμμάχων του "αντίστοιχου Ισιντο" Ισιντα Μιτσουνάρι.Η Μαρίκο στο επόμενο επεισόδιο θα παίξει τον ρόλο του κατασκόπου και θα προσπαθήσει να ελευθερώσει τους ομήρους εκεί κάπου θα πεθάνει λογικά.Αλλωστε και ο χαρακτήρας που βασίστηκε η Μαρικο (Χοσοκάβα Γκρασία) την σκότωσαν με εντολή του άντρα της πριν την μάχη της Σεκιγκαχάρα για να μην ατιμαστεί.Οπότε όλο αυτό το θέατρο του Τορανάγκα είναι για να μπορέσει να βάλει συμμάχους του μέσα στην Οσάκα αναίμακτα, να απελευθερώσει τους ομήρους και να εκθέσει τον Ισίντο ώστε σιγά σιγά να κάνει τους συμμάχους του να τον εγκαταλείψουν ώστε όταν έρθει η ώρα για μάχη να κερδίσει με όσο το δυνατών λιγότερη απώλεια δύναμης για αυτόν!

    No, Hiromatsu's death wasn't part of Toranaga's plan. He figured out there was a plan only near the end.
    So far, the aforementioned plan doesn't impress me: for example, if Toranaga had told Hiromatsu about it, that clusterfuck wouldn't have happened.

    • @laidareacts
      @laidareacts  5 месяцев назад

      look, from what I got now that I see things more clearly, Toranaga’s plan was to give the impression to Ishido and the rest that he has given up, he is broken and his whole clan is in confusion… so the events happening now help him with that! and as someone else did, Hiromatsu gave his life for the purpose, and that’s worth it… at least, that’s what I got

    The reason you are a little confused is because it doesn't make tactical sense, but is very exciting to watch. This wouldn't happen in real life. Hence, the real Hiromatsu --Hosokawa Fujitaka, did not kill himself and was with the real Toranaga --Tokugawa Ieyasu, when he became Shogun.
