Thank you for the video that I continue to follow every day , without getting tired.I have seen many interpretations of this piece and I think Beth's is the most beautiful ever ,besides the fabulous group, for voice, interpretation. There is so much fear, sweetness and then bursts out the anger the pain...Great Beth Hart..I am crazy about her! unsurpassed!!!! Whit love fom Roma Italy.
Beth is a unique multi talent ... and one of the few who can touche your soul ... she can tell a song and you feel it ...suggestion... BETH HART Am I The One Live At Paradiso ... you won't regret it ...greetings from Amsterdam
This was a blues song originally done by Etta James. Joe is one of the top 10 best guitarists in the world right now. His solo career has 11 number 1 albums out 16 he produced himself. I believe one of the three Beth did with him "Seasaw" was nominated for a Grammy. Beth as well has won Best Female Blues singer several times. She also is a rocker, she does a lot of rock and blues. Just a bit more information to go with my previous post below.
Joe Bonamassa is a true guitar prodigy. He started playing at clubs at age nine and toured during his summer vacation from school with BB King when he was just twelve. He currently owns the blues rock genre charts and has for the last two decades. Beth is a great talent on her part too, she won the Star Search competition in the mid 90's and has had many hits on the adult contemporary charts since her first hit, LA Song, in 1999. They both have large amounts of work to choose from including the three albums they did together. They are both worth a deep dive into their material.
My wife and I were there that evening in Amsterdam (being Dutch...). It certainly is not a pub. It's a really nice, well known theatre in Amsterdam (The Carré Theater, originally a circus theater, about 1.700 seats). It was a really great experience. Joe Bonamassa is one of the great guitar players of this time. And Beth Heart is in a league of her own...
Thank you for this video that I am familiar with. I now can't help but listen and see Beth and her musicians every day! She is truly the best there is these days. You have to know her life to understand and love her even beyond music.! With great love from Italy, from Rome!!!!😍😍😍😍
Love seeing new people listen to Beth Hart or Joe Bonamassa. On their own with their bands they are amazing, together they are magical. This entire concert is amazing. Check out a few more songs Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa "Somethings Got A Hold On Me", "Nutbush City Limits", "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know", "Cant' Let Go" live in Amsteredam. If you like Beth go back a ways and check out Beth Hart "I Am The One" live at Paradiso 2004, a one of kind performance. There is so much more from both of them together and with their own bands., Love your reactions!
Ebony has a very good ear!!!! This song is originally written and sang by the late great Etta James. Tennessee Whisky was also a cover, written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove and first performed by David Allen Coe. Growing up Chris Stapleton's home was always filled with music, but just as much gospel, soul, and R&B as there was Country. Etta James was one his musical idols, so when was living in Nashville as a songwriter, he an his band would play local clubs for a few extra bucks and for fun. They started doing Tennessee Whiskey, but changed up the music a little, due to his love for Etta, they switched the original Tennessee Whisky chords to the key of A, and slowed it down a measure, both of which matched Rather Go Blind, and Chris would sing the lyrics of Tennessee Whisky, and he has a very similar singing style to Etta. When Chris decided to release his own music in 2015, his manager suggested he include Tennessee Whiskey on the album because it had become such a fan favorite in the local clubs. Great catch!! I've only seen one maybe two others reactors catch that, and I've seen a TON of people react to this song. Cheers!
Thanks. This is what I thought initially, but somehow ended up comparing it to Tennessee Whiskey and then assumed that it's probably in the same realm. I haven't listened much to these genres hence I'm a total noob at recognising all their nuances -.-
Love that your reacting to Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa. Another one you might enjoy is Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa "Somethings Got a Hold on Me" live from Amsterdam (same concert as this one). Although they are amazing together, they both have solo careers that are both fantastic. You should check out Beth Hart "Am I the One" live at Paradiso, and a good one for Joe Bonamassa "Breaking Up Somebody's Home" live at the Greek theatre. Great reaction guys!!
Hey guys first time seeing one of your videos and loved it! I want to say the equipment and/or software you used is awesome. The clarity of the video and the audio was amazing. The colors you camera picked up is awesome. The resolution made it a top notch video. Thank you for the video and your time.
Wow… really nice compliments and kind words from you, we truly appreciate your time and comment. We try to give our viewers the best we can give. Glad you find them amazing. 🙏🙏🙏👍🏽
Joe bonamassais a awesome guitar player. If you like guitar and blues I think you might like these songs to start out with. What I’ve known for a very long time, mountain time, I’ll play the blues for you. Listen to these three from royal Albert hall 2009. And Cadillac assembly line from the Greek theater. Good luck. And I hope you enjoy his music. It is awesome blues rock. And if you are looking for a crazy guitar solo. Then check out Steve via tender surrender. Have a great day👍
Beth Hart is my absolute all time favorite female vocalist in the world . And Joe Bonamassa is in my top 3 guitarist of all time . Just my opinion and not asking anyone else to agree with me but he is one BADD 6 SLINGER .
It's blues. It's not bluegrass or country. He has been voted the best blues guitar player in the world for years. And Beth Hart has won numerous blues awards, as well.

Have you done Cakra Khan ‘s version of “Tennessee Whiskey” or if you’d rather a different song, “Iris” ( a GooGoo dolls cover). He’s got a great voice. 0ther covers (notably) are Cakra singing “Make it Rain” and “Take me to Church”.
Why are they talking constantly? They even talk when she's singing. I guess they think that's what they are supposed to do. I can't imagine them in a movie theater.
Yep looks like it. Still there's quite different capacities between this venue and something like Wembley. This concert had (at least for me looking at it) different feel/vibe than large concerts etc. Felt "homely"? I guess my first thought of it being blues was quite correct, but the song reminded me of Tennessee Whiskey, that's why I thought it might be something like Bluegrass/Country. In any case the track was very good and I was vibing to it 👍🏼
@@EbonyIvoryReact This was at the Carré Theatre in Amsterdam in June 2013. It seats 1,500 people but Beth makes every venue, regardless of size, feel like she’s singing just for you in your own family room. The band is Joe Bonamassa’s with an added 3 piece horn section. Beth is fronting Joe’s band for this 4 city/5 show mini tour to support their 2nd studio collaboration (the “Seesaw” album) of blues and soul cover songs. Beth, and most musicians don't play stadiums--1,500 is the sweat spot for most serious acts. Apart from festivals with 60,000 plus people, she sold out the 17,000 seat Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam in 2018. Yes, Stapleton's version of TW sounds a little like "I'd Rather Go Blind"--but the Etta James songs was released much earlier in 1967. @@ben-schulman Funny I was just sitting here listening and thinking how intimate I felt to her singing the song. LIke she was standing directly in front of me. Your comment is spot on and exactly how it made me feel.

Best female voice that people do not know about. So talented.

Music doesn't care about your labels. This is Beth doing Etta things and Joe doing guitar things.
Caught out in the rain , Am I the one ( live at paradiso) , Nutbush City limits , Black Coffee and so many more
Great reaction. Check out her live version of Caught out in the Rain live at the Royal theatre....one of her best performances.

FYI, Tennessee Whiskey is the same song as this, with re-written lyrics. It's not a note for note copy of this, musically. But it's pretty darn close.
