I was sat in the audience next to a lady who had come all the way from Spain that day to watch you. She said she thinks you are the best in the world 😱😁
Hello Anne, that lady from Spain that you say is me. I know the picture doesn't do me justice, ha ha ha!! 😂The truth is that I really enjoyed it, the site is incredible and Jonathan was very dedicated. As a finishing touch I was also able to meet and take a picture with Jonathan!! What more could I want? Well I could have met Tom but my flight was leaving early and I had to leave, too bad!! My experience in Mancheter was wonderful, I can only say thank you and until next time!😘😘♥️
jonathans articulation and control is once again unmatched! truly amazing how he can make one instrument sound like an entire orchestra! i love that he changes the stops to match the different instruments/moods of the piece too!
Your tempi on this were Fantastico! Also, it's so great to see an auditorium filled with people again and I'm envious of every one of them! How I would LOVE to enjoy one of your In-Person romps on that Beautiful Beast! IMHO the bodies absorb a lot of the echo that muddied some of past performances-particularly the ones that zipped along. As an aside, I've been a performer most of my life and I can just Hear and Sense a different level of energy and Fun in your performances when there's a Live audience. Tom, as always, you have really perfected your contribution to these joy rides. Both of You, Pleeeeez Continue working your MAGIC!!!! Love and Hugs from N Myrtle Beach, SC, USA. BENJY
Just like the original version all played on an organ. Congratulations on mastering your talents to the world. I wish I can get to a point in my life where I can master the organ. I just so passionate for playing all kinds of instruments that I cannot stick to one.
Fuerte aplauso. Abrazo a Tom. De Juve Flores. México.
Marvelous performance. Alas, I can't get Allen Sherman's lyrics out of my head. Like trying to listen to the William Tell Overture and not hollering "Hiyo Silver, Awaaayyy!" at the end.
Thank you, that was wonderful! I've known this tune since I was a child, as my parents had it on vinyl (I think it might even have been a 7" single, which probably attests to its popularity).
Beautiful song! 🥰 Lucky audience to have seen the concert live. I think it always moves. Tom, would it be possible to film the audience that is in the front rows? It would be interesting to see the facial expressions of some. 😉
Although it is normally played in G Minor, this is the original key of F Sharp Minor. Brahms orchestrated this piece originally for piano changing from F Sharp Minor to G Minor.
This was the encore after the most recent lunchtime concert in the Bridgewater Hall. As the contracted organist in residence for the venue Jonathan does a series of these every year and usually Jonathan and Tom don't post the whole concert online.
Yeah!! Live audiences again! (paying concert goers I hope) Excellent encore selection and performed, Jonathan. Tom, the pedalboard camera with wide angle is now my favorite. What camera did you use?
@@annescott3641 Bridgewater Hall is architecturally beautiful, based on all the RUclipss I have seen Jonathan perform on the organ. After several years of no audiences, I was very happy to see a live audience who make it possible for Jonathan and Tom to earn a living. Thank you for your reply.

And she is so right!
They are BOTH indeed....The Best!
I agree!
The lady replied to you in another comment 😄
Beautiful! Thankyou!

Very well said.
it's more like +1,000 instruments, because of the pipes

Since I've enjoyed your talents, I really can't listen to anyone else on the organ.

As always, everything is wonderful. Thank you for everything!

This is really top-notch. I don't know if I'm the only Nigerian that enjoy your performances. Always following your performance.
I love this! What a great interpretation of this piece! Wonderful video too Tom! That really gave me a lift today, thank you both for that.

Lol! I thought of Allan Sherman too! "Mix them all up, in one big mish mash, And what have you got? Hungarian goulash!"
Hungarian Hiccups and The Legend Of The Golden Pyramid.
Instant like. Terrific transcription, as always.
Beautiful playing. Thanks, Jonathan.
Que cima más alta del refinamiento humano!!! Absolutamente gloriosa!
Wonderful

amazing as always ❤
I waited 8 years or more for a good RUclips vid of this song on pipe organ, you did me and Johannes proud❤️
Johannes? This is not a digital organ - it’s a full pipe organ
@@epincion the composer Johannes Brahms wrote this song Hungarian Dances no 5 that the organist is playing in the video. What did you think I meant?
@@AerYdmyg sorry I thought you were referring to this being a Johannes digital organ. They are very common in Europe. My apologies.

Long may your banners fly!
more are coming videos?
Those Hungarian people sure know how to dance. Shake it but don't break it...
Although it is normally played in G Minor, this is the original key of F Sharp Minor.

i love that song. it's one of my favorites! are those concerts just a one song and done? or are there more songs played?

@@epincion ah, ok cool, he totally rocks that organ, wish i could read music i'd have a blast playing
also thank you for the information.
Is it possible to get a copy of this sheet music? It is exactly the sort of thing that I would _love_ to learn to play sometime.
Yeah!! Live audiences again! (paying concert goers I hope) Excellent encore selection and performed, Jonathan. Tom, the pedalboard camera with wide angle is now my favorite. What camera did you use?
Indeed we are paying audience. You book on the Bridgewater Hall website
Its a fabulous place to visit
