Actually no, the truck bumper hitch is not rated for more than 5000 pounds on most vehicles. Most of your weight in the trailer should be on the trailer axles, not on the tongue.
@@Chris-ri8xw why do they come with 12k lb jacks then? My Cam “the beast” dump trailer has a 12k lb jack and I’d like to replace it with a suitable Stillwell jack
We have several different models of jacks for every trailer application. We also sell any hoses and adapters needed to upgrade your trailer. Please feel free to call or email us if you would like more information! (612) 248-1110 c.bell@stillwelljacks.com
Hello Michael! This video is featuring the old selector valve. The plumbing is still correct, however the bolt pattern is different as the design was changed as part of upgrading the product. In order to fit, a new hole must be drilled where the second hole is located. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! 612-248-1110
Ian, your very observant. The tongue of the trailer was lifted so high that the trailer was rolling backwards. You should try one of our jacks out and see for yourself...
Oh wow that’s actually pretty cool. I would love to but it’s so complicated compared to an electric jack...when I get my dump trailer and need it due to weight i will
My Bigtex 14lx came with a Ram 12k jack. Isn't 7k a little light for that trailer? Do you have a kit to replace the 12k unit? Thanks.
