I mostly remember Artest with the Rockets and Lakers. He was an important role player with the Lakers. I didn’t realize he was that good on offense when he was younger but he was always a great defender. I think deep down he’s a good guy but had a rough upbringing making it difficult for him to control his emotions.
This is the problem with people perception too. What hurt people the most is always the Toxic one. Ticking Time Bomb are much more dangerous just because you cant guard things like that.
He’s a great guy deep down inside. He’s so gracious to the fans. Even today he still visits Golden 1 Center and has no problem dapping up the fans in Sacramento.
My signed jersey from his years with the Lakers just came in the mail. This dude is my favorite player of all time bar none, and this was a great doc. You did him justice, man.
For some reason when I was a kid I thought the world of this guy, he didn't give a fuck and wanted to win on the court. Inspiring story for sure! Thank you!
@@notmyname9625Rewatch the scene, Harden go out of his way just to bumb Artest while he is celebrating out of spite. Artest overreacted for sure, but Harden kinda got what he was looking for
I really enjoyed your video. You're a very basketball wise person that is very accurate in what he says. Born in '84 in Denver I absolutely love basketball but it's not the same now. Anyway it was like a flashback I remember watching all events unfold. The fights, trades, fouls, playoff series etc . I found this video trying to find the quiet storm documentary on Ron. Just wanted to say really enjoyed the video thank you for the upload and do you remember when the Orlando magic beat The Celtics and big baby hit the three-pointer to win the game think it might even been in overtime but he pushed that little kid that was standing on the sidelines.😅 Anyway take care bro
Ron is only 8 years older than me. Growing up in the projects during the 90s especially in NY. You just couldnt be soft. So im not surprised he was who is was. Im glad it worked out in the end.
I said way back when he played for the baby Bulls that if he wasn’t in the nba he’d be in jail for murder. I still think that. He is dangerous with money, imagine him broke.
This opening mixes everything. The line about drinking at halftime is one thing, admitting it is crazy 😆 I lost my shit. Ron is considered more crazy just because he’s so brutally honest
That "psychopath" is a legend. Could've been a top 10-15 2-way players for a few years had the malace not happened to him, maybe a chip or two for Indy on the way
I loved Artest on the Pacers. Really that whole incident with the Pistons was Detroit’s fault. NBA should have banned fans inside the palace if they were going to behave like that.
Yes Artest was rough and frustrated.. But change this a little ..The league had and still has huge flaws.. When a fan can sit and yell bad things to a player is wrong.. Throw drinks on players is wrong.. The league for years let this fester until the malaise in the palace exposed so many league flaws.. Throw in emotional players and fans the game begins to blow up..I have watched fans during warm up time before a game get into players heads and nothing is done about it.. Let’s let it be a game and no insults.. Yeah players get big money to play and some sob paid big $’s for court side seats..Players need to be protected by more effort by the league..Sometimes fans feel the bad fans need a punch in the face and barred from the court..
dont say “hes the son of a boxer so hes no stranger to confrontation” boxing is a sport and all boxers do not street fight. thats detrimental to the sport when we create those narratives.
got punked by wallace and was exposed as bully rather then a tough guy and difference between the two is he pick and choose who to get tough with but when its somebody ready to go like wallace he backtracks lays on a table then acts tough with fan
Facts! I know for sure a guy like Xavier McDaniels or Alvin Robertson would NOT have taken that push from Big Ben without immediately retaliating. He knew who to act "crazy" on.
Malice at the palace was great entertainment. Most everyone I knew loved it. These Detroit fans thought they were tough before Jermaine 6’11 hits them with a slide in haymaker, lol.
Honestly, I think Ron is on the spectrum, even if just a little bit. There’s definitely some unresolved and unaddressed mental health related stuff there
he elbowed harden ( severe concussion) who came off the bench for okc. when asked about it artest said he didnt notice, he only paid attention to the starters. Lol
Dude was coming down from drama on the refs table and gets a beer in his chest and the guy that threw it was standing right there. That shit should count for something
If he always wanna fight somebody on the court then why have him play in the first place?smh..it doesnt matter if he is an a list player he aint stable and is a threat to himself and other teamates..stop making excuse for this guy.basket ball is a semi contact sport.you gonna get touched or pushed..u cant be wanting to fight everybody all the time like that smh
I thought of him as cheap shot artist and hot head. I'm sorry but I was not a fan. He was on Lakers and would pick fights and deal out season ending injuries to my team. I thought he belonged in jail. He made Rodman look like a boy scout wtf he even broke the GOATs ribs. Wtf is wrong with Artest? You deliberately injure Michael you ain't right in the head. I do not love Artest. Sorry everyone
Facts! I know for sure a guy like Xavier McDaniels or Alvin Robertson would NOT have taken that push from Big Ben without immediately retaliating. Xavier McDaniels got thrown out for fighting with Oakley in MSG....and after getting ejected, demanded he come out his locker and fight again in the tunnel too. Artest knew who to act "crazy" on and who not to.
I saw this bum at the planet Hollywood in Vegas one time. Few people got excited and made a deal about his presence or I wouldn't have noticed or cared. Happy I didn't know he was a dog abuser at that time bc I prob would have shot my mouth off and been dragged into the thunder dome lol I was a really stupid person back then too

Wow that crazy because my first intro to Ron was the Pacers. I remember seein The malice in the Palace live

Arrest definitely has a nice little come back at the end. I was always rooting for em, he was fun to watch when i was young. Good vid bro.
Arrest 💀
Arrest?!! PLS 💀😭
I mean, he did get arrested
Great content man! Love the channel it will blow up eventually
I am glad you made this video!! Puts a lil bit different of a light on the man. Thank you!!
The fact that you only have 13k subs is criminal. Love the content!
The way he elbowed Harden always makes me laugh 😂
That elbow wouldve killed, or paralyzed an average guy. 😂
Literally no reason for it at all 😂 bro just dunked on them right before that.. the elbow was just a celebration
@@notmyname9625Rewatch the scene, Harden go out of his way just to bumb Artest while he is celebrating out of spite. Artest overreacted for sure, but Harden kinda got what he was looking for
I just watched it like 50 times in a row....it would be Harden.
So underrated keep at it bro

Not gonna lie I was definitely waiting for a Ron artest video 🔥
These comments don’t lie bro. Keep up the good work!

Addicted to these videos. Good stuff bro.
I really enjoyed Ron when he was in Indy. He seriously looked like he was ultra dedicated to the team and winning, sad it ended the way it did.

Ron and Dennis my two favorites

What's the name of this old RUclips channel? I can't remember. I used to always watch him, but lost track of him a long time ago

Imagine watching Draymond at target to keep him grounded
Ron Artest is the wild version of Kawhi Leonard.
wrong opinion. prime lamelo > prime kobe and its not close

You can't be serious
It's true Ben Wallace started it, the Detroit fans escalated it and the pacers were blamed for everything.
Artest escalated the situation. Totally bad and irresponsible decision by Artest
@@mikefrahm1577 it was also immature and irresponsible for fans to throw objects at players that's unacceptable like what would you do that for???
Lol what a rough take
He the type of player to hit a 3, then punch you in the face and declare war on the whole team
Mental health...it's nothing to play with...most truly just won't understand
wrong opinion. prime lamelo > prime kobe and its not close
he said he got the circuit city job for the employee discount😂😂
And to stay out of trouble.
he didnt HAVE to get the circuit city job, he did it to get a discount on DVDs, but Jerry Krause made him quit after one day
Meta World War such an awesome name 🙌🏻
The Kyrgios of basketball. They even look alike
Players like Ron artest and pj tucker are championship pieces but the fans don't respect d. So they get so much hate.
Ron Was Afraid Of Ben Wallace
Facts. Ron definitely grew up in a hostile environment but he knew not to act "crazy" with Big Ben.
Big Ben Wallace is from the Alabama countryside 334 Area Code...Big Big Wallace grew up on a farm & was naturally strong as Ox...💪💪
The whole NBA feared big Ben 💪🏿
@
He was the Mark Henry on the NBA

Dude shut up
i love me some ron artest and i always have
unhinged people are always the most entertaining
I wouldn't be suprised if Artest has undiagnosed ASD hence the emotional outbursts and lack of impulse control
Absolutely tho the NBA legit did him dirty with the suspensions back in the day and it also criminally charged the fans
😂😂😂💀💀
Dude was insane… Made a banger song tho
1 of qb's finest
Vern Fleming also from qb.

Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace
Metta World Peace AKA Ron Artest was the NBA Psychopath with a deeply buried heart of gold ✨️ 💛
Not all heroes wear caps but they do have multiple names. Wethther yall call him Ron, Metta, Panda Friend, facts remain that he is an absolute hero.
Honestly, I think Ron is on the spectrum, even if just a little bit. There’s definitely some unresolved and unaddressed mental health related stuff there
100% he is.
Good video, good ending.
he elbowed harden ( severe concussion) who came off the bench for okc. when asked about it artest said he didnt notice, he only paid attention to the starters. Lol
His story reminds me a lot of Rodman.
Dude was coming down from drama on the refs table and gets a beer in his chest and the guy that threw it was standing right there. That shit should count for something
He was scared of Big Ben.
Bro he is NOT a psychopath. He’s the most pro social dude ever but with severe bipolar disorder
U should do jrue holiday
He should just stay away from scorer's tables...
Artest Ben Wallace Patterson Zbo Oakley James Johnson Unseld Anthony mason and exavier McDaniel should’ve all been in a ufc league fighting each other
You can’t just be straight up blaming arrest for what happened like cmon now those fans were being incredibly stupid and immature as well
Artest vs draymond green
5 million dollar fine 😮😮
He’s crazy omg

I don’t either. Baffling that he has fans and is revered and allowed to have a redemption arc. Sick society we have here
😭😭😭😭😭 Oh boohoo
In your mind people are allowed to redeem themselves?
how does he only have 14k
Definitely deserves more. He’ll blow up.
Hey you talk about panda's friend
Artest should have played hockey
Ron Ron🫡
What is wrong with this brother 😂😂 dude once i seen his name was meta world piece i knew something was up even before i knew his story 😂
Indiana could win if they didn't have the brawl
He was a jerk.
He wasn't that crazy. Ben Wallace pushed his ass in the face and Mr psychopath went and laid his ass on the scorers table
