Hello, i set up everything with Dahua VTO2311R-WP and it works well over wifi without poe switch (pwr adapters), but can't figure out how to connect and where electric lock to vto. I have two pwr adapters one for inside one for outside, tell me how to connect outside unit to electric lock for unlocking. Do i only connect NC and COM from VTO to electric lock or i need another power adapter ? Thank you very much.
YES this is where it would have been useful if he explained how Networking works and how network devices communicate YES you can Each device on the network is assigned an address called AN IP ADDRESS in this process.. The 1 Doorbell Unit which has an I.P. Address Joins a network with the Indoor Unit that has another I.P. Address when the doorbell is pressed, it sends a signal to the I.P. Address of the indoor unit in networking basics, You can attach up to 255 devices together in a network, You already have 3 so you could add another 252 so let's say you had 10 more EACH INDOOR DEVICE would be assigned it's own I.P. Address if there is 1 doorbell that has all of them registered they would all ring when the button is pressed so yes you can but... Only the one that answers the call will receive the voice data
Interesting. My family in law have a dahua system. It seems the delay from when u press the doorbell and it showing up on screen is like 1 sec. Better than wifi doorbells from arlo and such. What bothers me is the 2mp. Are there no 4k or at least 2k ones?
What is the app called to download in Australia? I have moved into a new house that has the system already how to u reconfigure now with my wifi please
Can the VTH be connected to the app without the outdoor intercom having internet? I live in a unit and we just had an upgrade, I've been trying to connect the VTH in my unit to the app but so far no luck
In your Unit do you have WiFi, Wired or Nothing. They don't need internet to commincate with each other they need WiFi Having Internet means You can answer it on your phone. Technically you don't even need the app for them to talk to each other

Hi, great video, can I have more than 1 monitor screen but mix them, as in one wired screen and one connected through WiFi ?

Can i deactivate the sound „calling pls wait“? Thx for video.
Thanks a lot for this content.
I need to know if i can use more than one monitor because I have two floors in my house
YES
this is where it would have been useful if he explained how Networking works and how network devices communicate
YES you can
Each device on the network is assigned an address called AN IP ADDRESS
in this process..
The 1 Doorbell Unit which has an I.P. Address
Joins a network with the Indoor Unit that has another I.P. Address
when the doorbell is pressed,
it sends a signal to the I.P. Address of the indoor unit
in networking basics, You can attach up to 255 devices together in a network,
You already have 3 so you could add another 252
so let's say you had 10 more
EACH INDOOR DEVICE would be assigned it's own I.P. Address
if there is 1 doorbell that has all of them registered
they would all ring when the button is pressed
so yes you can
but... Only the one that answers the call will receive the voice data
How do you change the ring tone. I can only see two tunes? I want to add more door bell rings?

My system has gone blank. How can I fix this!
Can you connect multiple phones to the outdoor station?
what if i just want to go to the door and don't talk back when something used the doorbell? does it keep ringing?

I can’t connect to VTO
what if the is no wifi avalable ??? can it be wired
Yes, both the outdoor station and indoor screening an be hardwired and powered by PoE to provide network connectivity
How do we set up the hard wired part mine is hard wired by the builder but i cant get it working
Exactly....
the fact you had to ask that question shows that they failed at providing a good video on the topic
@@A.O.T..
And another person that proves my point.
and now we get into the topic of .... How to hard wire network devices
To help you out...
there is no easy fix to this
there is a reason why PROFESSIONALS are called that.
and if you attempt to get on the roof yourself, you may damage your property or hurt yourself
You have a few things working against you
1. This video made it look as if it's easy and there won't be any issues.
THAT RARELY HAPPENS
2. Your builder didn't wire it, he probably used an electrician who also didn't know about Data cabling beyond, Pulling it inot the roof space

3. The cable is likely damaged, because electricians do not take the care that cablers do and they do not test the cable runs because that would ruin the profit margin, but cablers do

THIS IS YOUR REAL PROBLEM
Your'e not getting answers because the industry isn't giving them to you.
and you don't know that though
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO (if... you want to try it)
i don't suggest it
- You need to know how basic networking works
- there has to be a wall point or data cable at the point where you put the door unit
- you will need a toner and you will need to find where the other end of that cable goes,
it should go to a wardrobe or comms cabinet
- Now for the indoor unit
there needs to be a wall point where that unit is as well
- You then need to use the toner to find the other end of it
- You need to test the cable for damages
(this requires instrumentation)
let's say you play it on a wing and a prayer and go on trust that it works
- You then need to connect those end points to the back of a router on the yellow LAN ports
- You would then need to use the manual to add both devices to the network
See... Not as easy as the video makes it out to be huh ?
Your other option
