Things from GTA 4 that didn't return in GTA 5 that I wish would return in GTA 6:
- Crouching
- Jumping to and hanging from ledges
- Picking up random objects and throwing them at people
- Police arresting NPCs
- Paramedics reviving downed NPCs
- Exiting a car without turning off the engine
Jumping to and hanging from ledges was awesome, it makes no sense that gta 5 characters can’t grab onto a ledge, and jump bounce of it and die

now that i think about it, the co-op feature would be neat, one player controls Lucia and the other Jason, it's possible if both characters appear in all the cutscenes.

I kinda doubt we'll be forced to keep the characters together throughout the entire story, but I do actually expect some sort of co-op option, I've been thinking about this ever since the leaks confirmed the two main characters
Funny enough, as much shit as I and others give GTA V for the storymode, you could argue for the first time ever, they managed to create missions where having other characters with you didn't feel like a burden. Like in SA or GTA 4 for example, most of the time the other characters in missions were useless or burdens minus maybe one mission which they were absolutely necessary like the Bank of Liberty city heist and even then it still felt like somewhat of a burden but in GTA 5, it almost never felt that way, it felt like they were actually skilled and contributed so if they can pull that off again and even improve on that then I can see how it can work with them being together for most of the game otherwise it will be a complete disaster lol
2-player local co-op was in San Andreas, and it wasn't all that good really, the biggest problem is how you'd handle the perspective to include both characters on screen
@@puzzlefischer1205 Local co-op probably won't be a thing. It would essentially mean rendering the game twice if you wanna do split screen, which I just don't see happening since the game will be pushing the hardware to its limits as it is. I'm thinking about online co-op

I can guarantee you Rockstar wouldn't wanna put full-on sex scenes in GTA 6, since they fear it'd get their games banned, censored and/or get restricted ratings in some regions, hurting their sales margin, although Cyberpunk 2077 had full-on sex scenes but was not banned or censored in Australia, so maybe the rating boards across the world are more tolerant on that front nowadays compared to 10 years ago

i hope they keep the structure of single player to online the same.
make the first year of online a prequel, then once people have had a chance to finish the game make it a sequel.
also i feel online was handled pretty well shark cards and all, the only issue I really have with online was the rapid militarization. It was cool with the insurgent and opressor mk1 but once you got the mk2 and high-tech tanks, and remote control rc turret thingy and whatever it became annoying
if they kept online relatively tame and made dlc just different jobs or stories instead of "heres a new corps of the military for you to play as" it wouldve been perfect
edit: also the franklin and lamar mission in online showed us exactly how you can integrate the story stuff into online seamlessly, just make us take control of the involved characters. Like have a set group of characters and make our online characters replace the no-name ones or tag along with the story characters that the first 2 members of your group take control of.
You’re right the biggest issue with gta online was the hyperinflation later on, and in my opinion how unstable the servers are on pc. Can’t even really play it without modders blowing you up.

As far as gameplay mechanics i basically just want a modern day red dead 2. The food stuff in that game is something you dont even need to do but i go out of my way to do it all the time cause its such an immersive thing. And i want cars to act just like the horses i wanna be able to go to the trunk of my car and pick a certain loadout to take with me. Which i get implications of that limited loadout from the gameplay leak cause there are parts where the character has a rifle on their back. And i want gas but only for buffs to the car exactly like how eating from red dead worked. And i do think if done right or simply made a toggleable option that small crimes like speeding or running red lights could be a fun way to play the game. As a toggleable option i would love that. Even in mafia 2 you say it was a bad part of the game but it blew my mind when you could literally be pulled over and given a tickey for speeding. Thats a type of realism i havent seen until or since that game. And yeah im aware that thats not everyones thing thats why i say just make it toggleable. Just like the food and gas systems i want them there because i love the immersion but even as someone that does enjoy it, it would be terrible if they made it a requirement. Thats why the food system in red dead works so perfectly to me because theres no obligation to ever use the mechanic its just there for no lifes like me that appreciates the more mundane aspects of some things being depicted. Red dead 2 was literally cowboy outlaw simulator and thats what even made it so good to me. The vast majority of my time spent in that game is just hunting and eating at a campfire. It was endlessly fun to just do that all the time. It was like what every hunting sim game should strive to be and the most amazing part of it all is it's not even the point of the game it's such a small part of it and that much detail still got put into it. I want that for GTA 6. I wanna feel like I'm just completely living someone else's life and be able to have all the dumb mundane stuff be doable but not required. Red dead 2 and mafia 2 both opened my eyes so much to how addicting that stuff is for me personally to be able to do in any game.
I think the reason matto didn’t like rdr2 because it wasn’t designed for speedrunners it’s a slow game but to me I enjoyed every second of it

One thing I loved in RDR2 was the fact you could walk around with a beer in your hand and consume it at your own pace. I want this for joints, sodas, cigarettes, and food items. It would also be cool if I could have the cig in my mouth while shooting.

The weapon stuff could be like on RDO. Unlimited throwables, melee and gadgets, 3.5 weapons, and you don't need to pick them back when you dismount the horse, plus you can carry only a few magazines.

My guess is GTA 6's gunplay will probably be very similar to that of Max Payne 3, in terms of movement and how many weapons you can carry. Your personal vehicle will probably act as a weapon storage, like your horse in RDR2 thus encouraging the player to use personal vehicles rather than stealing one. The player would also be able to migrate weapons from one car to the other. If you fast travel to a mission via taxi or any other means, you would have to carefully choose which weapons to take and which ones to leave behind.

I love Max Payne 3, but I would prefer to have more weapons in my inventory in a GTA game. The arsenal you can carry in GTAV is ridiculous, but there must be a good middle ground between GTAV and MP3.
I do like the idea of having a stash of weapons in your car, but maybe you'll be able to carry just one of each category (assault rifle, sniper, shotgun, smg, pistol, special) and have the rest of your stash in your car

Press a button on the d-pad while inside the vehicle and your weapon list shows up with all categories. Make animations and slots for each category.

Something i hope to see in gta 6 is the ability to turn a tank in a full 360 circle while it's in the same spot, since that's something tanks can do irl but in gta 5 for some reason tanks have physics more similar to a car
4:07 after recently playing Far cry 6 I found the way they handled the weapon wheel was very unique and fun. Basically you can carry 3 primary and 1 secondary weapon but at any point you can change them for any of your arsenal. At first I thought it was stupid but as I continued to play I thought it made the game more fun.
for the weapons, it would be nice if you have the normal weapon wheel but you have to choose one of every type (except throwables and melee)
so one pistol, one rife, one heavy weapon, one shotgun, etc

I hope in GTA 6 story mode they let you lock your characters to specific outfits unless the story requires them in a different outfit, like they could make it a setting where they’re outfit could be locked on or have them constantly changing outfits like GTA 5

Light poles, the metal ones, are bolted on at ground level, and are considerably easy to break off. This does occasionally happen when a truck bumps them.
Transmission poles, the wooden ones, extended 10 feet plus straight down into the ground and are one solid piece, they are incredibly strong, and the only times they break is when a serious accident that usually ends up losing lives is involved.

I played through GTA V twice and I haven't used the abilities of Michael and Trevor for most of the story.
Most of the times I felt like I didn't had enough "special ability juice" and when I had some, I forgot about it completely.
I only really used Franklins ability often.
What if they make a feature where if you get attacked by a cougar during a mission, you get an achievement called “THERE ARE NO COUGARS IN MISSIONS!?”

You NEED an reference in GTA VI, your content is one of the bigger independent reasons why GTA V(or at least Storymode) is still relevant. Yeah, you aren't selling Sharkcards for them but you keep thier work in a very creative way alive.
They should add a cougar companion, where if you order your cougar to attack, there’s a 10% chance it attacks you instead, and 1% it just comes after you anyway, whether you have it next to you or left at home XD

If character abilities make a return, the only way they'd work is if they were passive abilities. Different strengths for each character that significantly affect the gameplay loop depending on who you're controlling.
They need multiplayer campaign mode
one very important feature i want for story mode is to implement a form of mors mutual insurance so we can use different vehicles as our daily. to go alongside this, more/larger garages, and the ability to choose any of your cars to become your “main” car that spawns upon loading in or after missions.

9:25 different timeline is such a cool idea, having aspects of game changed based on timelines will be so cool
I would love to have the option to set a longer day night cycle. Sometimes it feels unrealistic how quickly the night comes. Obviously you couldn’t do this in a public session but could be implemented in a private session. Could also have the ability to sleep if everyone else in the lobby is (like Minecraft lol).
For GTA VI I’d imagine Michael is referenced by like some movies he’s made and maybe some movies you can watch in the game and possibly there’s like a side plot where Michael films a movie in Vice City and you have a run in or some sort.
With Trevor you might see something on tv about his lifestyle coaching but since the actor has had a falling out with Rockstar and has expressed not wanting to portray the character again I doubt he’ll reappear just be mentioned.
With Franklin I’d assume he makes a full on reappearance where like he’s setup a weed business and an agency in Bice City and they could serve as money making missions.
I really hope NPCs have routines ie driving to work, working, going to the gym, at home making dinner , taking a shower, sleeping. That would be great

I think you should be able to carry one weapon for each category as well as an additional handgun, with the rest having to be stored in your safehouse, that way it's limited and you don't have a mobile arsenal like in RDR2 (although it would be cool to be able to store one or two weapons in cars' boots), but you still have some space for a 'different' handgun like a taser or a flare gun so that you don't have to sacrifice your 'main' handgun. Or you could just take two standard handguns and dual-wield them, which sounds fun.
I like that system, it worked for Gta 4 and Saints Row

I played GTA V thru, maybe three or four times before using the special ability but once, when it tells you to with Franklin. That is it. I didn't even know about Michael's or Trevor's abilities. They really don't tell about it in the game. Even now that i occasionally play it, i really only use Franklin's ability.
My fave quote and one I heard before already was how GTA VI could be in a sewer and still be good, or even in your backyard. But, through and through, loved the entirety of your vid!

I never understood how people could not know about the existence of special abilities in the game. Yes, there are no moments in the game where you would have to use a special ability forcibly, but at least the hint appears several times during story missions.
Okay, hints can be missed during gameplay, but in the game interface there is always a yellow stripe next to the armor stripe. And didn’t such people really have a question about what this yellow stripe could mean?

You underestimate people. You are someone used to gaming and someone that is used to press everything to know what each bouton does. You should watch my GF play. It is the complet opposite. If you give her abilities after 1h of game play, they will never be used. Because it is easier to stay at the basic level. And if it gets harder, it is because the game is hard, not because she did not used this new ability. But she play something like 100h each years
What hints? I can only remember one, when you have to use Franklins ability. None of the others are introduced nor hinted at, unless you are talking about some text appearing in one corner of the screen once... I had absolutely NO idea that Michael and Trevor had any until i saw Darkviper playing the game.. I did at least three full playthru's before that.
And no, i did not pay attention to the yellow meter. What you have there is the inability to understand that after you have learned things, they become obvious.

I've gamed since 1984 and i did not pay any attention to yellow lines on the screen, nor did i even know all characters had special abilities, and i forgot to use Franklins ability for the first four playthroughs. Those abilities are NOT introduced during the game, apart from Franklin's ability. But i didn't consider the game very hard either, it becomes fairly easy when you do use them abilities thou.. It was to me, normal GTA difficult without abilities, and easy mode with them. After learning and remembering the abilities: for sure, there are a handful of missions where they really make the game experience better but by far most of the time... They are a superpower in a world where ordinary hero is allright.
If it has rdr2’s level of clothing detail I’d love it, especially hair growing making me want to shave to try out hair styles
I think gta 6 will have a decent chance of having a coop story option, because i see short trips as rockstar testing the waters for a gta coop story and the gta 6 trailer only showed 2 characters of interest Lucia and Jason. So currently, the story could allow for it
It needs jetpacks to make a return, proper 6 star wanted system with military making a return, and improvements to flying such as an ability to change flaps

driver paralel lines had that unique aspect of being in 2 different eras... you start in like the 70s then something happens and the other half of the game is in the early 2000s . i always wonder a rockstar spin on that, like starting in the peak vice city era then something happens and then you play the other half on modern times.

9:22 I disagree on the part GTA VI NEEDS a Multi Timeline Feature "To Succeed". I missed when everything used to so much simpler in GTA IV, then it got complicated in GTA V and ONLINE, and I don't want things to be way more complicated than they already are in GTA VI. A Multi Timeline Feature where you get to switch the timeline your main character is in whether they were 18 years old or 47 years old will probably ruin and scatter the story around, and we already know how scattered GTA V's story is, and I don't want that back and make it worse.
If anything, I want what Rockstar did in GTA IV and its Story DLC's. All 3 Main Characters, not too close like ones from GTA V, crossing paths with each other from time to time. Still one of the most brilliant and creative ways of Storytelling in video game history. I think that's one thing GTA VI needs.
they have to make the game a little more competitive in some way, wether it is races or some counter strike-like gamemode, the game will still remain super casual and arcade since thats what gta online is about, but would be interesting to see
they should have different modes for rpg one that puts food and water sleep and sickness would be find for a long play through and then a mode where its just health and armor
no universe that this will happen but, modding support with really be nice for singleplayer.
