- A full Van to Campervan conversion in under 15 minutes! I have made a timelapse video of the conversion of my van into a campervan, in reality this took almost year from start to being fully completed. My campervan is Gas Free, meaning I do not have gas for cooking or heating, and has been designed to be lightweight for exploring in the wilderness which includes providing me with all the power, food & water storage and comforts to live off grid.

I love these types of videos, and you did not disappoint ! Great job.
Could I ask you to consider taking the nudge bar off the front though? Yeah, it looks cool. But the implications aren't that much better than a full bull bar.
I wish you all the best on your travels.
The lights are mounted to the bar and this is the main reason it's fitted, where I go I need the lights and therefore the nudge bar too.
Cracking job John 👍
You’ve done an awesome job on the build John, you should be mega proud of yourself
WOW One of the Best Time Lapse Build I've seen, Great job all around, Enjoy your Adventure John
Thanks, will do!
Eh well done you pal. Lovely job and the timelapse was great. Thanks.
Brilliant 🎉
And all with no problems with the sliding door John 😂😂😂😂, great build
AWESOME
Love time lapse after drone obviously 👍👍👍🏴🇬🇧🇨🇦🦢
The 12v air con system are really good apparently.
In 40°C heat I found the 2 maxxfans were great at keeping me cool enough to feel comfortable and they use 1% of the power a/c uses.
Excellent job John. just wondering if you can send me the link for the paint thanks
If you check the video description for the link to the full playlist, find the paint video & that’ll have all the relevant links in the video description.
I wasn’t following you both until recently so missed out on your builds first time round. You make it look so simple! Do you have one of Mandy’s build? Did you have to configure differently with her working more from the van or is it identical?
Mandy documented her van build on her yoututbe channel, so you can see how she designed and built everything 👍🏻
@@GadgetJohn will go see if I can find that
cool vid on channel keep up the cool trips thanks lee
Thought you were building another new one for a minute, lol...Cool time-lapse build John 🙂

A good reminder of all that went into it! YAM xx
Nice conversation. How long did it take you to complete?
It took roughly 3 months of constant working on the van, but I used it a lot during the build to get a real feel for the conversion at each stage, so overall it was around 5 months.
John love the time lapse, very useful in terms of the sequence of build. I’ll follow it when I build mine! I currently have a Ducato built by previous owner, which suits me at this stage of my journey. My question is,:
I have a solar panel on the van which works ok? But, I don’t know its capacity, is there any simple way of determining its capacity I.e. 100w/ 200 w etc? Any help would be appreciated.
You’d need to look at the unit for its output as there’s no other way of measuring it.
Thanks for that, Would there be a label or I’d on it somewhere?
I watched the full van build series but it's still cool to see it in time-lapse. 😎
Brilliant
I have a question we are buying a vw partly converted transporter shuttle. It’s got a rock n roll bed and as far as we’re a where it’s been lined etc etc it comes with 3 x solar panels that need to be fitted and 2 Leisure batteries and water tank. We pick it up on sun we’ve just looked at taxing it but it’s coming up at over £600 for 12 months I was just wondering if you guys have re-registered your van to keep costs like tax and insurance down and how did you go about it please
Our vans are £285 a year for road tax, so I’ve no idea why yours is so high. Ours are still registered as vans.
Nice one John. The time lapse view shows in quick time what can be achieved, but it belies the amount of sheer graft you put into the build that your regular followers bear witness to. All in all, a video worth doing. Cheers. 👋
Belie is the word I'm taking out of this, as a non-native speaker. Quite right on that comment for the build. (mental note: Be. (A) Lie
Edit: I Was only speaking on language!
@@Gurra_Gforce You're most welcome. Everyday is a school day for me too. 🙏

The hard work was well worth it but the Timelapse does make it look easy 😂
Blummin’ awesome build John. Well done.
Makes me want to build one! But i don’t have your skill set or know how or patience!. Well done!
Great build John, did you resolve the electrical issue you had,I must of missed the outcome.❤
Oh yes, that was resolved a long time ago.
