Well fought by Vollering. A shame to come second with such a good overall performance, but sometimes luck is just not quite on your side. I'm sure next year will be more rewarding! :) And ofc congrats to Niewiadoma on winning!
Mrs. Katarzyna, I congratulate you with all my heart and thank you for your effort, for those beautiful moments, for those emotions until the last meter and at the end - for our national anthem. You are the pride of our Nation and a role model for young athletes. I hope that the representatives of our country, our media, our citizens will appreciate your success, and this victory will change your life... I also thank your loved ones for both their support and their understanding. The team and sponsors made a good choice...🤝

Very cringe. Vollering on the podium acting like a toddler when it’s time for bed. Honestly is being Dutch an excuse? No wonder she was left to fend for herself
4 seconds. If SD Works had just one rider wait for Demi, she might have won it. It was a confusing situation though. Great rides by both Vollering and Niewiadoma today. They fought as hard as they could for it.
Honestly such an exciting tour de france femmes 2024. These highlight videos are incredible! In my opinion if you compare this TDF with the one from the men then 4 seconds are much more thrilling than like 5 minutes between Tadej and Jonas. Huge congrats to Katarzyna for winning the TDF femmes 2024. But well fought from Demi as well, she almost recouvered her big backlog to the yellow jersey. It's really sad to see that her team didn't help her after her crash. But overall problaby the most exciting TDF that I ever watched. Unfortunately only 8 stages😅 See you next year❤

Well done by all the riders and congratulations to Kasia Niewiadoma! So many great performances by these incredible riders. What a great TDF Femmes. 🙌 Having said that, it is clear that Vollering's team abandoning her at the side of the road like a dead dog after that terrible crash cost Vollering the Championship. You're so right in this. Lorena Wiebes saw the yellow jersey (Demi Vollering) on the ground and yet decided not to help. Another moment where Demi Vollering lost the tour was yesterday, when she attacked quite early on the col du Glandon. Everybody in the peleton knows that in between the Glandon and the Alpe d'Huez there is a tricky valley (including a crosswind) of some 15 kilometers. The worst tactical move is to be on your own (Vollering had no help of Rooijakkers) against a group. In this valley Vollering blew herself up. Had Vollering waited with attack until the climb of the Alpe d'Huez, she would have won the Tour de France. So what puzzles me is why the SDWorx teammanager didn't advised her to wait. Great riding to Kasia but she inherited the yellow jersey by Demi's crash, she didn't earn it. Demi showed how much more stronger she was overall this year. Her win on Alpe d'Huez was such a beautiful statement and no one can hide that truth. I'm so happy she won it.
Not fair to say that Kasia didn’t earn it. She was the beneficiary of some good fortune along the way but she rode like a boss today and literally had the virtual yellow ripped from her at least three times today and clawed her way back. Kasia earned that maillot jaune.
