  • In the final lap of Mammoth, the banshee overheats and melts down a piston approximately 300 feet from the finish line.
Richard caught back up to me and passed me just before the checkered flag resulting in his placement of 2nd and me achieving 3rd.
Had I not pushed it through the finish, my father (#66) would have taken 3rd place in vintage class on his 1999 Yamaha Blaster.

@@Floridawoodsbanshee I was greedy. I wanted my points. That man-powered finish put me on the podium for that race. Big thanks to Todd and Cameron for helping me push. I was exhausted and even that few hundred feet didn't look attractive.

@@Floridawoodsbanshee later figured out my original rubber intake manifold had a reasonable crack in bottom side and was sucking air the whole time. Fried that left side piston.

@@YerzengaPerformance all the trail systems you are riding look amazing. They all are pretty much wide open. Nice deep sand. The whoops are amazing. Deeper the whoops the better. Beautiful trails!!!

@@Floridawoodsbanshee We are racing here this coming Saturday. That's why I went to Gladwin as I knew the terrain would be very similar and good practice.
Some other stuff gets tighter and more technical

@@Floridawoodsbanshee The trails we have up in the Black Mountain Scramble area (norther part of the lower peninsula) are pretty darn tight and technical with plenty of rapid elevation changes. I hope to get back out there sometime this year
