I got a couple of these at home in addition to the dry chem types. I keep the dry chem ones in the kitchen and in other areas where type B or C fires might start (such as where I do my electrical / electronics work, kitchen where grease or stove fires may start). The water can types I keep in areas where class A fires are more likely to start (such as in the hallways near the bedroom areas or in the laundry room). I live in an urban area where we can get fast fire service but I still like to be prepared just in case). I can also see how invaluable these can be if you life in a rural area.

Old video but still thought it would be interesting to share. The extinguishers come with a plastic tube which was on the siphon tube when you took it out (4:04) that acts as a measuring device so you know how much water to put in. The water level should be to the bottom of that tube and the rest is filled with pressure.

leave tube in when filling will over flow when water level reaches bottom of tube

Add 1/3 cup of class A foam. Works like a charm
