Thanks Jack.. Super interesting.. wish I was there to tag along on sone of your outings.. I must say living in Chandler In the late 70s early 80s I was apprehensive going into the Superstitions for fear of running into some rouge persons that wouldn’t think twice of plugging you with lead.. heard some stories about that taking place at that time.. Great hearing you..Hats off to ya!!!
You men have found your second calling .We are all hanging on and waiting for each word in each and every story. You should be getting paid for the great service you are doing for your amazing state

Anyway I could pay for a tour? Go see these mines, sign a waiver? Lived in Mesa for 30 years. Been up and down the supers enough to call them my backyard. Haven't spent alot of time on the west side and would like to see more.
I live very close to the Carney mine. The last time I was there was about 2010. The guano was very intense at the rear of the mine. The smell of ammonia was over powering. I didn't have an oxygen monitor but I didn't need one I smelled the ammonia turned around and left. I hear bat guano is a sought after fertilizer. A person who has the proper breathing apparatus could probably make some money "mining" the guano.
You telling the story a little different jack ....but nothing big buy the way you told it before it sounded better before I thought but it is the same story it's different though ..but Charlie would be proud I'm sure..God bless all you older gentleman

Is the teapot cave the same cave as the Shaka cave?
These stories would be even better told around a campfire in the desert in the dark..............

I wonder what a Old Desert Tortoise at an end of a Cave is thinking about?
Christ, this guy could not tell a single story straight through if his life depended on it.
