1988, I was living in the Hollywood Hills, North Beachwood drive, My main gig was the Pointer Sisters, I was on the sidewalk, trying to move my guitar rack into my apartment, when this guy walking by stopped to give me a hand. It was Curt! I still have his hand written info he wrote on the back of my card. What a cat!

I was first aware of Curt's playing on Mick Jagger's "Wandering Spirit" album in 1993. I heard the drums on the songs "Don't Tear Me Up," "Put Me In The Trash," and "Think" and said "Who is THAT?!" I've been a fan ever since. Thanks to Curt for killin' it EVERY time you play, and thanks so much Dom for another fantastic, informative interview!

Hey Curt ! ...was thinking of you recently. Probably after seeing Kevin N. post his skate stuff. Love hearing your story! I remember hearing of your ventures through the grapevine back in the day. Well done! Am

The first time I learned about Curt was when I was on the website drummerworld and wanted to click on someone that I hadn't heard of. So I clicked on Curt's name and clicked on the video where he was at Capitol Records recording a tune with this fantastic groove he was doing. I had to watch it the second time so I could really focus in on what he was doing. I realized that this guy was something special and not your average run-of-the-mill drummer. This great interview again confirmed that.

Thank you mr Famularo for all those wonderful interviews. The thing i realise with all your interviewees, is that it's not only about technique for them.. Yes they have mastered their instrument but they know how to control all the "side" elements of music such as self management, self promotion etc. And all of them are really wise and down to earth people with a positive attitude to share their life and mistakes with us. We owe that to you Dom.These interviews are priceless. Cheers.

Thank you Vagelis for your interest in our interviews! You are correct....those "side" elements are very important and the reason The Sessions is doing these interviews and offering panel presentations worldwide! Check it out & maybe we can bring www.thesessions.org near you!

note the energy...you think he gets work only for drumming? 100 other cats can play the gig, but Curt is a nice guy...this is a networking family business...only the cool survive...an artist can be a dick, not a session player...and the star fades fast,,,better to be a character actor than the star...
