My opinion on the ships, and why i think they have to be in the anime: I think the ships in the anime are forced, because if you think about it these guys are in high school, the time when you are at the stage where you think about love the most. So not having them think about relationships would make it seem as if they were older than high school students. Furthermore, Japan isn't fond of any relationships other than straight ones. Another thing is that boys in real life are closer than they are to girls, so the way these two act is actually how real high school boys would. They aren't showing any signs of love or chemistry, but rather just great teamwork. I do think the ships do seem one-sided and forced(IzuOcha and TodoMomo) but relationships are a huge part of a high schooler's life so it is kind of necessary to add that. The only ship I would say does make sense and the writers did a good job showing chemistry between them is Kaminari × Jirou. So people stop saying the ships shouldn't be there or that Tododeku and all the other non-straight ships make more sense cause they don't. The MHA characters act like normal teenage boys would with each other. You are just shipping the characters that have actual interactions without any evidence of love or attraction between them. English isn't my first language, so sorry if you don't understand. I know this is long but it has to be said.
