Valeriane cgi films are harder. They have to rig the animation. Render it. Model them. And get each frame of the model in the crowd and get the crowd and background.
4Kaiju Not quite. 3D animation can be made a lot more quickly and smoothly because the backgrounds and models are always remaining, and can be used over and over. No matter what way you look at the scene (angles) a model's hand for example will still be existent, even if you can't particularly see it. However, handdrawn animation relies entirely on your mind and references for perspective and you have to create that perspective for the viewer.
Maybe in the second movie they will add it back in. ^.^ Like Anna's sitting by herself in a locked closet after just fighting with our new "hero" (?). And because Anna can be quite clumsy at times, trips and winds up stuck in a closet to think for a few hours.. until Hubby finds her, and listens to her vent. Then he reminds her the she has over reacted before, blah blah blah... she turns on him, even though he's right. 😄😊😇💜
There is this scene from frozen 2 where Elsa heard her old self singing Let it go at the part of "Here I stand in the light of day" and she literally cringed hahahaha
I believe that isn’t a mistake, I heard it was way too complicated to animate the braid correctly, so they did that to save time/money. I could be wrong tho, you never know 🤷♀️
It’s actually made on purpose. The braid has more hair in it than the whole head of hair Rapunzel had. It was too complicated to animate so either the braid passed in her shoulder or the braid became a knotted mess. They didn’t had the time to fix the issue.
It was cut because the song relies too much on the context of an early draft of the plot. In the earier draft there was a prophecy about Elsa becoming an evil queen, hence them mentioning “the prophecy” in the song. In this version, Elsa actually became a villian, so the song was the beginning of her descent.
While I would totally love to see a 2D-animated version of the film, I honestly don't think it would have been any better than what we got. I mean the 3D-animation we got was so utterly epic and stunning that I don't believe traditional animation would be able to pull that off, to create the same epic-scale experience with so much amazing detail.
♚ QUEEN OF OBSCURE PAIRINGS ♚ They did it in CGI because they wanted to progress with the changing times, and there are things CGI can do which 2D animation cannot. It opens up to more possibilities.
OOOH!, so "Making today a perfect" was BASED off of "Life too short"!! To be honest, i would have like "Life too short" but, i can kinda see why the scratched it, It made both Anna and Elsa seem kinda mean, special for a kids movie :\ .But its a great song overall!!

I know this comment is old but I feel like I should mention this anyway Disney hasn't put much extra content on DVDs in years, usually it's just whatever short was before the movie when it played in theaters. You want extras, you buy the Blu-Ray. Some other companies don't do this - when I bought Spiderverse, a Sony movie, on DVD it had quite a bit of extra content on it. Still, looking at the back of the Blu-Ray release there was more stuff, so I guess it's the same practice but to a lesser extent.

SBEVE anime has to be distinctly Japanese-styled though. But you bring up an interesting point, which is that anime was originally derived as a budget version of Disney/Looney Tunes animation. So in a sense, anime is more Disney than Disney is anime.
+badwolfbae Thing is you want continuity in the scene to bring contrast to who she was and who she becomes. That's why they on do cuts between transformations. If her hair change had a cut during the hair transformation it would confuse the audience.

If you're talking the actual film we got, yes, she was desperate, but she was also devastated when learning her powers still endangered her kingdom even after she fled. I nearly laughed aloud when her outburst caused a conveniently chest level blast that hit Anna right in the heart. It felt so contrived.
This is really awesome, and I would love to go on a movie-lecture focusing on Frozen! As others have apparently stated before me, this kind of makes me wanna be an animator aswell! Working with film overall is something I really want to do!

I just realized that Life is too short didn't fit for Frozen 2 after Elsa was revealed as a the 5th spirit. I love the song, and has always wondered why they didn't use this instead of for the "first time in forever". Only to realize after Frozen 2 that it didn't fit with some of the given plots and scenarios, because it sounds rather "Child(ISH)" at some point. And Anna's personality and Elsa's personality was a bit different in the song. Not to mention, Anna just encouraged Elsa to wear gloves again. Oh and they were both BLAMING each other for why their life is miserable, On which they would NEVER tell each other that judging by how things are now. I fully understand the director's decision.
I want to be an animator and work at the big companies like Disney, and Pixar. So this was really helpful to think about all of the steps and if I really want to be an animator. Answer is still yes..

I like how they did that scene in the movie. In Life's too short, it looks like Elsa did it on purpose. In the movie, it was complete accident.
Everyone it’s not a hair glitch when it clips through her shoulder it was done to make the scene seem more fluid and it was also nobody seems to know that hair can bend 🙄

I just realized that Life is too short didn't fit for Frozen 2 after Elsa was revealed as a the 5th spirit. I love the song, and has always wondered why they didn't use this instead of for the "first time in forever". Only to realize after Frozen 2 that it didn't fit with some of the given plots and scenarios, because it sounds rather "Child(ISH)" at some point. And Anna's personality and Elsa's personality was a bit different in the song. Not to mention, Anna just encouraged Elsa to wear gloves again. Oh and they were both BLAMING each other for why their life is miserable, On which they would NEVER tell each other that judging by how things are now. I fully understand the director's decision.
2:39-2:42- the biggest mistake that has ever been made with Elsa taking down her hair. And I can’t believe they didn’t notice it!
