Good for you so many people once they hit a certain age they do nothing and it’s a shame then again, some people are not healthy enough to do things but as long as you all have fun, I’ll be 51 in August 2024 and my wife is 46 and my son is 10 and we still have a blast You would think I’m 20 sometimes my wife thinks I’m younger than that. Lol I still collect toys I love gadgets. I love it all still ride a BMX bike.

I still remember the first disco I ever went to in the mid-seventies, at the age of 15; this is the record that was playing when I walked through the door and it has stuck in my consciousness ever since, along with the strobe lights and the packed dance floor. Disco was just emerging back then and it was like a whole new world, the music, the fashions, the dance moves. So to see George McRae here, still with that same amazing voice of his, is awesome.
Never get tired of listening to this song and those girls are super talented and a great accompomaniment on the stage

I wore this 45 out everyday after school back in the days! 😄The days of hip huggers, bell bottom jean's, halter tops and platform shoes, ladies!!! Afros and shaggy haircuts.😂 Y'all remember that? I was a teenager in junior high in Honolulu, Hawaii. It's still my favorite song of the 70s to dance to, then and now. And still listening to it in 2021! At heart,i am a classic rock junkie but this is a great tune.Alot of music from all categories in the 70's and 80's was the best and this is a classic IMO.

Beth Heart with Joe Bonamassa or Jeff Beck,Joanna Connor for old time boogie down blues,Blackberry Smoke,Pink.A cover band called Foxes and Fossils.3 incredible young woman singers with killer band of older dudes in the band that’s tight as a drum.Best new thing on the YT. Last but not the Least.Billy Strings a flat picking acoustic guitar picker started as a bluegrass player best since Doc Watson but now he’s playing everything. It literally brought tears to my eyes.His technique is flawless. Now his voice is catching up. Will change your life.

In 1974 i was eleven years of age when this song came out. I remember it so well being played at our local cinema before the film started. Also Terry Jacks singing Seasons in the Sun and Carl Douglas singing Kung Fu Fighting. But it was George McCrae singing Rock Your Baby that i loved most. His voice is still terrific and hasnt diminished at all through the mists of time.

I'm from a generation after Disco ( Gen X) and my generation must wait 10 years later for the 90's Hip Hop to revitalize dancing again....and they sample many Disco tunes for their beats.

Loved this song 1974. I was in the Marine Corps and I missed my Girl back home. Needless to say when I deployed I got the "Dear John Letter" broke my heart. I just wanted to run away.

George still sounds the same as he did back in 1974...from a better time...when sexy was classy...
What I don´t like about this "performance" is the fact that he touched his young dancers (at least one of them) during the performance. He is old enough to be older than their grandfathers... it. is creepy! He should either be alone or have grown-up females and males with him on the stage... He does seem to not know that he is not a sexy 18 years old.
The reason he sounds the same as back in 1974 is because he is lip syncing to the original recording!

I remember it playing around in the 70´s, when I was a child.
I love how the dancer who starts on the right, moved to the left and again to the right, dances with very beautiful movments, as for example at 1:18 when he says, "Open up your heart" And I didn´t mean it at all in a perverse way, but I just said, that her movments are just perfect and beautiful.
One of my all-time fave songs. This is simply mimed to the record. I was always disappointed when The Sunshine Band released their instrumental version, totally different from the great backing track here. Pure, solid DISCO! One of the greats.

I've worked with George in the studio and Produced for him, very nice man-gracious and kind, Loved his stories about making these hits when we used to go to lunch every day. He has a great voice and his success is well deserved.
