Great video! Thank you! The problem for some can be, that you can not make your phone into hotspot. So, you can get Internet off the USB from computer, but you can not make Wi-Fi hotspot for other devices.
Some of the apps don't want to work just with Gnirethet, but all I tried worked with a connection to a wifi network, Bluetooth tethering or mobile data, even if they don't provide internet.

I was trying to mirror my phone and used reverse tethered internet at the same time through the same usb cable, and sadly it doesn't seem to work. the purpose was to use my pc to stream gameplay mirrored from phone while phone got ethernet speeds for the game. I wonder if I can tinker and get it to work.

Download?! I've got to download something first! I can't just put the settings right? No, the danger to get malware in the download is too high. Why can't I just use the connection via my PC uncomplicatedly when I bought the wrong adapter and don't want to wait for tomorrow when the shops are open again. @@lyledangwapo317 i found the solution..go to developer option and switch on the USB debugging mode (security settings ) just below the USB debugging...Mine is MIUI 12
