    It’s a very important topic that you have done. I think it’s important as parents(and adults) to value the words of children when they speak, and not to be dismissive about their thoughts expressed, well done👏🏽

      You're so right. Creating an atmosphere and an attitude that encourages the child to talk is key.

    I am a toddler guide and was wondering if you could offer some insight on the specifics needed for 12 mo-36mo

      Hello Mikayla, this is a broad topic, here are some few tips:
      Read to them as it would help them develop an understanding of how language is used in stories. This will help them build vivid pictures.
      Good illustrations also help children understand what the book is all about. Colourful pictures are what attract children to books.
      As a toddler guide, children would like to read if they see you enjoy reading too.
      Introduce them to action songs and finger- play songs, rhymes and jingles, Montessori games, group activities/projects (that involve talking), l spy games...
