You know it's a problem when Nemesis stops looking like himself halfway through the game. In the OG game his second form was shirtless tentacle bro, and didn't start looking like a Bloodborne boss until the very end. Here they decided to skip that part (who knows why) and add a final form that is just "giant blob monster", a form Birkin already filled in both RE2s. It really takes away from the impact he has on the player, unlike Mr. X had throughout RE2.
Mr. X was an overhyped joke who got dealt with by Birkin making u look weak as fuck trying to survive a big dummy who got easily destroyed...and boring...all he does is walk and hulk smash...Nemesis you have keep adapting to in the whole game...various attacks...makes no sense for him to maintain one form when your hitting him with everything and he is a parasite controlled organism...that's why even when u shoot him in the brain it doesn't do much coz the parasites are his brain ...they control him no matter what form...just coz it's done in the old one doesn't mean it has to be repeated like Jill's attire which was trampy for a cop...Birkin didn't mutate to the level of Nemesis either...the final boss of Nemesis was unlike Birkin and Mr. x
I'd say I had loads of fun fighting his animalistic mutations rather than the Terminator phase of his...rushed game so what re 3 was a short game too...lot of replay value the new one has if you have tried harder difficulty
But that's just like, your opinion, man. Real talk though the way he was running around like a wild animal made it more intense. Oooooh woooow he gets some tentacles added to him in the original lol, his change here was awesome and reflected what the T-Virus was doing to others in terms of mutation. He almost looked like a giant licker, which is a classic RE monster that everyone loves. So I'm all for it tbh and I found him quite intimidating and scary in this game. He just looks kind of lame in the first one, old game or not.
I have to say it. This incarnation perfectly personifies Nemesis. The adaptation of G, the ruthlessness of tyrant, and the intelligence of a soldier to boot. Horror incarnate.
Is Jill also a mutant? 0_0 Surviving all those hits, falls and constant explosions and an old car falling head on from a building not wearing a seatbelt...
I like how Jill can lift a giant rail gun, flip a cabinet made of thick wood to block the door, or metal plates on top of nemesis, but she can't push away a simple zombie and always gets bitten. :\
Yeah.... Jill's feats of inhuman durability, not to mention the amount of times Nemesis just grabbed her rather than crush or stab her, kinda pushed the limits of my willing suspension of disbelief 😅
Honestly, he should’ve been more of a challenge in his trench-coat form like in the original. It didn’t really feel like he was hunting you in his non stationary boss fights as much as following you.
cus in this version he follows you no matter what in a certain area, in the original version he would've appears at random and scripted encounters. They really screw this up by making it so short
The level design was trash for R3make. Outside of the plaza area of Raccoon City, Nemmy does not have enough spaces for him to fully function like Mr. X. Therefore he feels super scripted and disappointing.
@@fliqpygreenbear4454 Mr. X in R2make was used way better because the level design were much better. Poor Nemesis who is supposed to be a better version of that, gets used in the worst possible way with scripted level design. I love Nemesis dearly, he's up there for me with Birkin G form. But boy.. They use him poorly in R3make.
It's speed in second form was convincing enough , it was able to travel through buildings and the fact it didn't end Jill was pure plot armor , i think that it would be horrifying if it's power was put to use in a movie , as it would do horrifying demage if it was used in a movie where it's full potential could be shown .
Chimelementa OG nemesis filled the same purpose as Mr. X. A roided monster in a suit who wanted nothing more than to kill the player. In this remake, Nemesis is like an rabid attack dog, a force of nature that is willing to mutilate itself as long as the player dies too. Nemesis’ actions and even it’s body becomes more animal-like, and his second form is the peak of that idea. At the point of it’s third form, Nemesis even sacrifices it’s animalistic features to literally become a wall. This Nemesis wants to kill Jill so badly that it completely forgoes self-preservation just to become an obstacle. The OG RE3 felt like being hunted. The RE3 remake makes you feel like you’re being viciously chased.
Chimelementa I’m not saying the decisions they made were great ones, they aren’t. But Nemesis definitely risks his own death to murder Jill. Nemesis sets fire to everything around him to kill the player. And it’s not like fire doesn’t harm Nemesis, because it definitely scares it(when Nemesis transforms for the first time).
@@eliwoodnguyen1505 it sounds too cheesy when it's delivered as a finisher line. Thank god she said it during a chase scene. It sounds more natural when she says it out of stress while being chased. Plus Nemesis in his final form doesn't utter "STARS" anymore anyways.
I personally like how this isn't a bland copy & paste, scene by scene remake (like most Hollywood remakes). It actually follows the basic structure of the narrative and keeps some clever hints (the explotion Jill escapes from in the og, the train in which they were supposed to evacuate), yet it does its own thing, like the character development and also tie itself to Resident 2 better than the original did. I love the nods to the og confrontation when you bathe Nemesis with acid as you keep fighting him is kept in the remake. Is the game too short for what its worth it? Debatable, the original game was also short yet it compensated in the multiple choices, allowing for replay value and the mercenaries mode; all of which were fillers to disguise the single campaign (compared to the last Residents, that had double paths).. Is the nostalgia value lost? To those that played the original, of course their expectations were high to visit locations like the Park, or fight the Grave Digger (that really didn't contribute anything to the overall plot). And this group of people will be the main detractors to this new take on Resident Evil 3 (as I've seen in another video)... I couldn't preorder it, nor I think I would've gotten it on Day 1, given the ongoing lockdown on several stores, which has affected the release of RE3 and delivery to those that did.. I've given my opinion, bring on the sandstorm!!
Joshua Romero González I agree with you. I’ll be honest I’m kind of disappointed that Jill didn’t finish him with that line, but I like that they’re adding new things in an already cool game.

Claire: *Picks up a Minigun* HA! look at this! Jill: *picks up a Railgun* How cute. At this moment, i think Jill has become a super human, maybe this is the explanation of why she was so strong in RE5 with the battle suit? I know that in RE5 she is under the effect of a special drug... but since Capcom is reeboting everything... who knows?
Actually there already was an explanation for that. The mind control device is constantly pumping her with a drug that enhances her physical abilities, her hair turning blonde and her skin becoming slightly pale are also side effects of the drug
@@mbrillon765 I know, it was something called drug "P-40" or something like that, but since Capcom it's reebotting everything... who knows? ok, i can accept that Claire can carry a Mini Gun, but Jill holding a freaking Railgun that is bigger than her with no issues at all? O-o
@Quentin Diaz Without plot armor game would be so dificult , i mean if there was achievement called " No plot armor " or " Limited plot armor " it would be so damn dificult , it literally would justify giving a cash reward for it if someone managed to complete game on this level because of how hard it would be .
I’m still laughing at how Umbrella dropped Nemesis off a block from Jill’s spot and Brad still somehow still managed to encounter him first and escape. That man was redeemed in R3make. No more Chickenheart. On another note, the plot armor was thick in this one. Seemed like Nemi has an ego. He was toying with Jill all the way up till the Subway fiasco. Umbrella created a monster that loved the hunt more than accomplishing the mission.
While the 2 new forms look nice, especially the 2nd, it's a shame that the original 2 have been cut out. Now, I know that his 1st mutation has been integrated in his standart form, since it now uses tentacles, but it's not the same... it would have been nice if the original mutation was either a "super nemesis" form that he would unlock if you damaged him too much in the overworld, or the boss after the train crash, so that he could have apperead outside of scripted events in the second half of the game... and his "alien form" could've been a third form...
As I said elsewhere, I am so far thinking that this remake should have gone with Nemesis’ original first transformation (besides having it appear briefly in the Mikhail cutscene), had you fight that as the boss in waste disposal room, then had his final form be the version you see at 28:30. At the moment, I am finding Nemesis’ actual final form in the remake to be a bit overkill, reminding me more of William Birkin’s final form meets Dead Space than Nemesis, who is simply supposed to be an extremely skilled Tyrant merged with a tentacled NE-Alpha parasite.
Plus, if the middle of the game needed to have players fight some kind of giant boss monster to keep themselves occupied, that was what the Gravediggers were for.

Just finished the campaign now, I had a blast and it took me 6 hours (being very thorough and looking for all collectables). I’ll play again on hardcore ASAP and can’t wait!!!!
I remember I saw somewhere before saying that Nemesis is created with both the T and G viruses. T makes it as strong as the Tyrant, and G is used for easily controlling Nemesis and enhance its strength at the same time. Maybe Capcom deliberately designs its transformation of the 2nd stage more like William's G4, just out of the reason Nemesis has G virus in the body.
Beat the game yesterday, Whereas I think it was a really good game, the Nemesis itself was disappointing. Capcom needs to get the message that not every final boss needs to go through 4-5 mutations. It's too much. In my view, Nemesis should have never mutated. That was what William Birkin was for in the last game. Didn't need a repeat of that. There also should have been random encounters sprinkled in where he just chased after you as opposed to him only appearing at the set scenes in the game.
Yep too much cutscenes Nemesis suppose to be the Nightmare most feels like game holding ur hands too much should have random encounters and Nemesis needs to be more of a hunter toyin wit you this has way too much cinematics and beast nemesis was kwwl but the fact that he seems mindless takes away from the terror of having a hunter on ur tail

I'm not so happy about what they did to Nemesis at the Clock Tower fight. He was better as a Stalker than some mutated mindless beast. He wasn't supposed to do that until the end. Seems like a downgrade to me. Also disappointed that It didn't use a Minigun as well. I thought for sure Capcom would also add that to Its inventory as well
It's a good game, that's a disclaimer because snowflakes are easily triggered and rush to attack any criticism of their favorite games. Mr X was a better enemy, he was a constantly pursuing dynamic threat in the station, he was always there wondering around and actually had clever detection gimmicks like sight and could hear players if they ran. It made him less predictable. Nemesis is exactly like Mr X from the 2nd half of RE2, he was extremely scripted and only ever was active in certain areas for setpeices and boss battles. He never felt like a pursuing character, he always felt like a boss instance, I wish he had the Mr X treatment and was made to be an always active enemy that roams around looking for you when not locked on, that would have made him more fun. It's still a good game, just not as good as RE2, RE3 is less a survival horror game and more like a very linier series of action set pieces connected together by a few small exploration areas.
Shit was rushed....as soon as RE2R got rave reviews they were like RE3 coming next year. Way too short to make a great game. They basically made Jill into Remake Lara Croft, and most of the actual game play against Nemesis was like 50% cutscene.
@Gore Gare Back in 2002, Capcom produced a remake of the 1996 RE1, which not only updated the graphics and sound, but added lots of new content and improvements, such as the Crimson Head zombie mechanics, the Lisa Trevor subplot, new areas, new puzzles, expanded character moments, new game modes, more weapons, and so on. For January of 2015, Capcom took that 2002 remake and gave it an additional remaster treatment, so they could better port it onto modern consoles and PC systems. Because the latest version is simply titled "Resident Evil HD Remaster", rather than something like "Resident Evil Remake HD Remaster", it can get understandably confusing unless one already knows of the 2002 game.

Agreed, there was no reason to do those transformations. His original form in the OG is way more haunting. They really rushed this game. Shame.
Surviving all those hits, falls and constant explosions and an old car falling head on from a building not wearing a seatbelt...
dont worry the main characters are really powerfull they can literally get bitten and never get infected unless scripted
She's like the Vin Diesel of videogames xD
..or the fact that she's still in near-perfect shape.. *after getting mauled by Nemesis in his 2nd evolution.*
Damn, they even remade the Railgun and Nemesis' final theme? Interesting..!
I love how Nemesis uses the remains of his flamethrower like a club.

@Chimelementa Resident Evil can't ever be scary
20:35 nemesis turned into those pill things that you put in water and it grows into something big
20:40 That looked like it came straight from Bloodborne.
That's something you would see in the game "Prototype"

I agree with u dear person, I agree with that
Incorrect. Nemesis is the product of the t virus and the ne-a parasite
I believe it was a combination of T & G virus with a parasite. But I could be wrong.

@Gore Gare
The game you are referring to is a remaster of a remake, originally released in 2002 on the Gamecube.
@Gore Gare
Back in 2002, Capcom produced a remake of the 1996 RE1, which not only updated the graphics and sound, but added lots of new content and improvements, such as the Crimson Head zombie mechanics, the Lisa Trevor subplot, new areas, new puzzles, expanded character moments, new game modes, more weapons, and so on.
