Went to the 2nd free Melbourne show, most incredible night of my life. Never been so lost in a moment before and pure joy and energy in that crowd was insane.
What Dave Grohl said is true. I was introduced to the Struts when they opened for the Foos @ Wrigley Field. Luke quickly had the crowd eating out of his hand. Saw them when they came back to Chicago and they blew the doors off the House of Blues.
If the Stones could've pulled the plug on Lynyrd Skynyrd they definitely would have, The Struts probably were up staging the Stones as well. The Stones rock, everyone knows that, but honestly there's a certain point where a group is so.... old, they don't sound anything like they did, and no one wants to hear a watered down version of the songs they like and fell in love with.
The stones will never get old and if you even think that these "struts" will have a chance on the stones your dumb because they wont no one will keep it going like the stones they are gods

Honestly their songs need to be more, sexual, and more edgy style to work. We need that type of rock n roll back were they would say or do anything.
Gotta be frustrating to be compared to the rolling stones all the time. I think they are a Jet/Rolling Stones hybrid. Good tunes though.
