I lived in Framingham when I was kid in the 80s. When I was 10 we moved to New Orleans and I’ve been in Louisiana ever since.

Wow, this shows how much has changed since December. Right now, there are only 4 single family homes under 450K for sale in Framingham. Lived here for 15 years..thankfully, we got in when we did as I really don't consider Framingham affordable anymore.

Carrie- It's shocking how many offers I wrote for Homes prices $450-500 and we went over by 20-40K and still did not get them!!! I think it has slowed a bit. I never recommend buying in the peak frenzy-April-May-June. Unless you have to of course. Just so much competition with people who want to get the kids into local schools. The best deals are when people need to sell and no one is looking to buy. Christmas-Thanksgiving-the dead of winter. Even September through March is a bit easier.

I work in Boston and live in south Framingham. I leave before there’s traffic and make it in well under 30 min. If I want to take the train instead, it’s an easy walk there. Downtown Framingham has a more urban feel but it’s Convenient and more affordable. Take a drive down a street like Alexander St at night time. Family’s actually use their front porches, and it’s fairly quiet. Houses have decent sized lots too! Lots of single fams. You can walk to many amenities and you are a quick drive to Ashland, Natick, Rt 9 etc.

I live in Framingham , an amazing city , yes you can say it's international ... here almost everyone speaks 3 or 4 languages (impressive cultural adversity)

What about commuting to Boston/Cambridge by train? How hard is this?
