It's so nice and relatable to see you just kind of chat about the interplay of identity and change, style and consumerism. My own style in art(writing) and clothing has also been changing a lot recently as well.
I used to be the same as you. Now I rock black and gray most of the time with oversized jeans jackets, adidas, and whatever cool skate gear I can get my hands on. Don't worry about keeping up an image that no longer represents you just to meet the imaginary demands of your followers. I'm here for the change and excited to see where your self-exploration leads you.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I am struggling with managing money, so I will try writing down a record and probably implement the 5+5 clothing items thing. I enjoy your vlogs, they're very soothing ❤
I’ve used a wishlist system for a couple years now, and I’ve recently gotten a lot stricter about only buying things on the list. It really helps to prevent impulse buys!
Its intriguing to reflect on how you change as a person especially with style over the years, as its hard to experiment with clothes if you intellectually love a lot of styles but cant try stuff on to see if you like that style for yourself. Im trying to thrift or mend clothes, especially my jeans as I keep on having issues with holes in them but there are some stuff I just cannot handle with textures and stuff in thrift stores so im having to buy some stuff new but limit myself on new items.
So excited for 2025 with you and especially the backpack video! 🎒✨ I really got into bag-making last year and I’ve been eyeing a few patterns for finally making a backpack.
Heyyy I moved to just south of Seattle a little over a year ago. I love all the foggy weather it’s so pretty. I think it’s ok to change styles (fashion and art). I don’t think you have to focus on one style. It’s ok to wear and create multiple things. I use to wear a lot of sweet Lolita, but I wear mostly gothic or gothic Lolita, but I still keep some special pieces just in case I feel like wearing sweet on a rare occasion. People are multifaceted and it’s ok for clothes to match it. I think lots of people get too hung up on fitting a little box.
Can’t wait to see what the shop will look like! I’ve been thinking about buying something from your shop for a while now so I figured it was time, with you clearing it out. Bought a couple buttons and scrunchies ^^ Excited for them to arrive :D
Enjoy life on a different side of the mountains :-) There are a lot of fun events and groups to join, including for EGL. I look forward to seeing more zine and style content from you. Between items wearing out, bodies changing, tastes changing, and one's skill in making things improving (thus rendering something you previously thought 'acceptable' into 'not fit for public view'), there's a lot going on with wardrobes. I have a lot of ideas and goals for this year, too, like outfit challenges and perfecting garment fit, which will make it easier for me to reach another goal of buying less.
I feel like I’m going through those style changes, too, especially those driven by just not wanting to wear uncomfortable clothes anymore! Idk where I’m going after lolita fashion (definitely it’s still a sometimes thing) - I’ve always liked otome and mori girl, too, so maybe more that direction? But yeah, definitely starting to recognize that I can like something visually but not actually own it/wear it
Inspired by, and strongly relate to, entering a period of experimentation and exploration after feeling stagnant for some time. Would love to hear more about the move: what prompted it, how it went, how you're feeling about your new local area.
I like a lot of things, but do I want them in my home and on my body? I appreciate what I see and enjoy seeing new things. For example I like William Morris, but it does not work for me. Good to hear from you and for me, you sound more energized! Take care and be well! K
rly enjoyed seeing a video from u again ! defintely excited to see what you do in 2025 :) last yr i didnt set a challange abt consumption but i did record everything that i brought into my wardrobe in 2024 - including second hand stuff & the things i made with my own hands, which i know isnt included in the data & stuff but i just wanted to guage in general what i was doing & it was rly interesting ! [i made a video abt all th clothes i did end up bringing in to my wardrobe if ur interested !] i feel like it was good in general just to genuinely be in touch with my consumption level as opposed to just imaging what my relationship to clothes & buying is which i think would be easy to do do in a way. anyway i always love to hear u talk about your personal style / modifing ur wardrobe / etc !! happy new year :)
I am so sorry but the general style and editing of the video as well as ur current style is super reminiscent of 2014-2019 transguy youtube and I found it very nostalgic
"Unwilling to wear heels any more" I agree 1000% Glad to see you moving forward with your creativity
Even if they’re cute, they aren’t cute enough for me to sacrifice my comfort lol

It’s been great to see you evolve since I started following you in 2020🖤
Thanks for sticking around for so long! 🖤🖤🖤

Happy to see you in a better environment than you were in before (at least hopefully)! Also that coffee looks so fucking good the envy is strong
So healthy to allow yourself and your style to flow in new directions. Thanks for sharing, I'm excited to see what your new creations will be!

so cool that you're in my area now!! I hope you get to visit/participate in some of the many cool indie art markets :3
I am so glad you’re in a better place. And I also changing my style and struggling with not wanting to spend money

Hello! Your videos definitely inspired my interest in fashion and to customize clothes myself. I'm glad to follow your journey, wherever it goes

Seattle area is so great. J. Kenji Lopez Alt has a Google map list with a bunch of restaurants he's been to in the area, they're all super great.
