I was lucky enough to ride 69154 during its short time with First Potteries and remember it being particularly musical. Glad to see it’s keeping well and in good hands :)
Pure nostalgia just like our B7TL’s that used to be around in Dublin (we only have 30 left of these in service, and just recently around 10 are now up for auction)
So did I actually, the very first route I took as a resident of the UK was the 97 or 98, went to bury market. Back then go north west had some of these in plain white livery and they were as loud as this one
@@glitchFan2428 I haven't used those routes since First still had them. The last bus I remember having it on was 37372. I'd been using it since the Mercedes Citaros were still on it, and in addition to that, you also had the older Wright bodied vehicles on the 149 as that still went all the way into Manchester back then (I think it was rerouted past where I would get them when First scrapped the 137 in 2012).
Like how they restored it to Barbie livery with route branding as if it's brand new!! Looks like the video was filmed in 2006 because of how shiny the bus looks, but when you see the other buses in background, reality dawns its 2024 hence Bee Network and MCR liveried buses shown.
@@glitchFan2428 Yeah, the 98 is my local route and I use it everyday. These new E400 MMCs are great, far better than the Streetlites and E200s that were regulars on the route until the changeover a few weeks ago!
Yeah, although I don't think our striders ever had such a loud zf! And the sole B7RLE (SBS8030L) certainly didn't 😅 Even the sentosa one's weren't this loud

I'm glad too that it's being well taken care of 👍🏻
This is what some of the CDC NSW Euro 2 B7RLE's in Sydney Australia sound like, and they have 2 and a half more years on route service.
I do envy you guys because of all the nice sounding buses still in service!

Glad it brought back memories! And I hope those 10 go to a good home
I had such a super amazing time watching this and traveling with you! Awesome!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ooh, I like this one. I used to get some of these on the 97 and 98 many years ago.

That's what I love about it, it's like a time capsule! 😁
God I miss those on the 98, that gearbox is lovely!
Same, used to get these on the 98/97 all the time

@@mcrtransportenthusiast oh yes I do like the new 24 plate mmcs
Damn I missed this sound on sentosa buses especially the island plate rego and pink Double decker Sentosa buses😢
All gone now, those sentosa ones 😭

At some point, they are planning to sell merchandise on their page linked in the description

@@glitchFan2428i thought sbs8030l zf was considered loud?
I wonder if they'd preserve E300 with ZF gearbox too.
I hope so! Some of those arriva ones that used to operate on the 263 in Manchester were amazing
Fuiyoh nice ride on a unique bus! Just jealous here in Singapore cannot ride this bus haiyaa...
Jokes aside, nice video!
Thanks fo watching! Yeah unfortunately it's illegal to preserve buses in Singapore on the roads :(
THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE ENGINE FROM CROYDON THE ROBLOX LONDON TRANSPORT GAME
Yes. Have you driven the Myllenium in that game?
I think you mean the gearbox sound is similar?
@@psgistheworstclubineurope yep
