  • My visit to the Museum of Transport, Greater Manchester in Cheetham Hill to the '200 Years of the Bus' event on Saturday 28th September 2024.
In 1824, Salford toll keeper John Greenwood started a horse bus service between Pendleton and Manchester, five years before anything similar happened in London. This event celebrates the 1970s and 1980s with heritage buses running between the museum and Manchester city centre and to Swinton.
Buses featured in this video are:
    1963 Daimler CVG6K
    1969 Leyland Titan PD3/14
    1980 Leyland Fleetline FE30AGR
    1960 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1
    1965 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1
    1986 MCW Metrobus DR132/8
    1984 Leyland Olympian ONLXB/1R
    1968 Leyland Titan PD3/14
    1972 Leyland National 1151/2R/0202
    1984 Leyland Atlantean
    1966 Leyland Titan PD2/40
