i know this piece so well, that today (since hubby is bedbound), I 'conduct'while it's playing. He says I'm spot on! I would hope so...I took piano lessons for 11 yrs and was a church organist, so I do know the areas of fortissimo and crescendo! I listen to this every winter.
Super Cool !! Heard this song by 'accident' while changing stations on my car radio! Found out the title name and searched for it on RUclips when I got home!!
Iv seen alot of light shows here on youtube but this guy(NeverEnoughLights) Has the best shows my opinion !! I cant wait to see this years2011 shows=) Frickn AWESOME!!
This is one of the first houses I ever saw with lights set to music on here. I never knew this happened in the USA as I'm from the UK. Love them what a brilliant idea.
Bringing back Wizards this year? The oscillating hoops was a nice add in 2010. I I know the software makes this easy but to choreograph all these sequences every year in your head and on paper is impressive!
I take back what I previously said in another post regarding this. THIS is the original one..the one that got people trying to duplicate the works of a genious. Many are good..but this one is still the BEST of all!!
I'd say maybe the August Burns Red songs are probably the hardest. I have one on here (carol of the bells), but just finished up Flurries for the 2013 show. Took me over 2 months to sequence that one song.
@joeystiggs They're just 3/4" PVC, painted green, wrapped in 4 100 count mini lights and wired in series (1st section of each arch is connected to each other, 2nd, 3rd and 4th likewise). Pound 1/2" rebar in the ground at a certain angle and slip the PVC over it to create the arch. Found a formula online to help determine how long the PVC has to be as compared to the spacing of the rebar to give a consistent height.
@MrAsteek Let's see. Yes Light-O-Rama, bought the hardware and software from lightorama. Trees in the front. There's a page on our website with some pictures and descriptions of those trees. neverenoughlights, then choose how it's done, then scroll to the bottom to special projects. But to answer your question they are 10 foot pieces of electrical conduit (EMT). I think they are 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" diameter. Sunk two feet into PVC pipe encased in concrete under the lawn.
Freakin amazing! To think I drive within a mile of this place everyday of the week and never knew it was there! :) Don't think they would appreciate a semi poppin in for a visit though? ha ha Gonna have to make the 3 hour drive with the car!
@SlimNubster because after they shoot the video, they track in the music over the video so it sounds crisp, like a music video instead of a home movie. If you look at some of the others lights/music ones in the sidebar you can tell which ones are like home videos where one camera takes the video, the sound, etc.
In 2009 they were all incandescents. Still slowly converting to LEDs. All the blue's are now LEDs and the front trees will be LEDs this year. Blinking lights just saves money.
@stefrockets No. Any climate will do but colder weather has its challenges. Ice tends to mess with all the wiring tripping the GFCI's. Rain not so much. But there's always the challenge of getting on the roof if it's snowy. I get started mid November and do the 2nd story first thing.
@Playchan19 Extension ladder to the front porch, then I carry a 6 foot ladder and set it on the garage roof across to the 2nd story facia. It's probably not the best way, but it gets the job done with what I have available.
I buy the preassembled boards from light-o-rama. I don't want to bother with all the soldering just to save a few bucks. Half my boards are the PC boards the other are the D boards.
2 things: 1. Dear god, considering what I've seen since your 2006 videos, what you do this year for 2010 should by rights blow my mind. 2. Light-O-Rama should be PAYING you for this as some of the best free publicity they can get, or will ever get.
I watch this in memory of my brother, Bruce Parker (1953-2011) He loved this vid.
I literally heard this song 2 days ago and I'm already COMPLETELY OBSESSED with it!
Still listening to this in 2022, sounds amazing in space even though there is no sound

It may not be the first, but it IS the best Wizards of Winter house I have ever seen. Bravo!
How could anyone dislike this? The original still holds a place in my heart ,but, you have done a fantastic job. Well done.
Never gets old !
After all these years... still love this! :)

I just got back back from seeing the real Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert in my hometown Louisville, Kentucky :) :)
I'd say maybe the August Burns Red songs are probably the hardest. I have one on here (carol of the bells), but just finished up Flurries for the 2013 show. Took me over 2 months to sequence that one song.
I love your display, it gets better every year! Let's hope the sound doesn't get deleted like before!

This is without a doubt my favorite one.
Whenever I see christmas lights synced to this song, the ending is always the most kick ass XD

They have one of theses in Helena mt. It is amazing to watch.
About 2 weeks of vacation, but that includes testing and fixing broken lights, running all the wires and testing.

It is sooooooo AMAZING!

In 2009 they were all incandescents. Still slowly converting to LEDs. All the blue's are now LEDs and the front trees will be LEDs this year. Blinking lights just saves money.

Still can't get over the fact that you don't know TSO, Kurt Dresner. This one is a good start :)

Wow, what a show!!! the neighborhood should pass the hat to help these people pay their electric bill come January!
@clifford they don't use a speaker, they use the radio in your car. They will most likely have a sign showing what radio channel it is.

@bellasarafan5000 Of course. Can't take out wizards. All the new songs are listed on our website.

This is EPICNESS
I LOVE IT!!!!
deep down, in all house musicals, with syncing lights, it's just 1s & 0s.
More to come
Try this at 1.25 speed, you won't regret it.
Jan Francis Sulit OMG YESSSSS
Bad ass mode.... ACTIVATED
1.5 is pretty good too
this is awesome at that speed
Jan Francis Sulit it’s so great! Especially like the last 35secs or so
