I love those upswept swishy tails! I ran Manx (MCM) upswept header/fishtail tips on my last build. It gave my bike a "chuff-chuff" cadence kind of like a cross between an old tugboat and a "cha-cha" backbeat. The overall style of that Shovel is early 1970s. That Panhead engine has STD cylinder heads -- a very nice touch. Belt drive is great, as long as they're aligned properly and well-vented. I've used that Ram-Jet retainer and the "Big Fix" long bearings in the clutch hub. I've no complaints about them, except the installation of all those loose bearings (heavy grade bearing grease helps). That Panhead engine is going to look great in that straight bar rigid frame. Yeah, that tag photo with the guy reading a book while riding his chop was from an issue of Choppers magazine. He had a huge cross for a sissy bar. Jesus appreciated it. Thanks, John, Craig and Paul.

It was was right around the corner from the Mashpee Center for performing arts. Get an “okay” steak and potato, then go watch the girls shake’em. Thanks for another great vid gents!
I want to build a classic hardtail bobber. Never owned a harley, only japanese bikes. Should i start with a pan or a shovel or something more modern? I want an open primary and kick start bike, jockey shift, the works. Where should i start?

Please cut like 12 inches off that springer and let the frame sit level. It will definitely handle better with the improved trail, and wont look so damn goofy. Too long of forks that rotate the frame this much are a blight on chopperdom. DO IT RIGHT. Be a man. Run your frames level. Do not put form over function when chopping.

That box of chain link fence post clamps you have might actually look ok as exhaust clamps if chromed out .
