I have two of these HONDA eu2200i generators. There are the best of best. I only use non- ethanol gas and never leaver gas in them over a month. I also drain the carburetors. They have never failed me and I use them every year for long periods of time and days.
I bought my 2000i in 1990. It has provided power to the house through 5 hurricanes and countless shorter power outages. I am guessing it has over 1000 hours of use. I run lights, ceiling fans and two refrigerators. Starts after storage: Open vent; eco to off; choke on; fuel to run, pull through twice and come back in five minutes- should start in one or two pulls. If in the future it surges- add "Small Engine pro" to the fuel. Enjoy!

Hello, To improve storage, it is even better to drain the carburetor with the aim below it. And add 5 ml of oil to the combustion chamber. E' according to the manual. Laurent Frédéric Belgum

Mine started after 3 years with the old gas in it lol. It did have tri-fuel non ethanol gas in it. I wish I would have recorded it.
